What it is like to be a teenager. A teenager's life is not as simple as many think. The changes each adolescent goes through are enormous. Many people believe the change is only physical, which is completely untrue. The greatest change teenager faces are those within his/her brain; another word, psychological.
In the charts and graphs, it is evident that teenagers are constantly pressured by their surroundings, which explains the reason for them being stressed. After studying charts in class certain conclusion can be drawn from the information. It is evident that teenagers feel depressed due to the constant pressure of obtaining three factors which are money, education, and personal relationships. It is shown on the graphs that nowadays less people get married but instead more people stay with their parents. The reason for this is the lack of money. Due to the increase in the living expenses people can no longer afford to pay for all the bills. This is especially true if the person is not yet stable and does not have a full time job. I believe this affects the society in a negative way, because some adolescents are pressured into staying with their parents against their will. Especially those who do not get along with their family members have no option but to stay because the government has made everything so expensive. Currently money seems as one of the most important features within a person life

These days everything revolves around money, and sometimes it seems impossible to have a good life without it. Seeing my parents struggle because of money, definitely pressures me to become more successful then my parents. It also makes me realize the importance of planning future, and how it will have an effect on my life later on. But because of all these pressures, I sometimes can become stressed and very moody. Another factor which teenagers are being pressured about is education. Over the years the education has evolved, from post-industrial to industrialized civilization. It is evident that computers and technology has impacted the society tremendously, and encouraged the need for education.
When looking back to 1921 though 1941 education was very limited, because many children were helping around the farm. But as times changed the education became critical for the Canadian society. Because the education is so valued and encouraged by our societies, more people complete post-secondary level. Even though there are more people getting education, there are still those who drop out of high schools or other facilities. This is because teenagers are pressure by their family and the society to get the highest level of education possible, and this can put anxiety on the child.
Also some teenagers may feel like they will never be able to become successful, because grades do not come easy to them. This misconception, leads to failure of not wanting to learn and stay I school. The future life depends greatly on what type of education you receive; many people begin to realize that the better the education they get the better the employment will be. Also more people look for education higher than bachelor because they understand it will result in a better job. The society encourages education by giving scholarships for those who do well in school and contribute to the community. The last factor that teenagers are constantly being pressured about is personal relationships. Not only relationships within a family but also friendships and love life as well.
Sometimes this can become very stressful on a teenager because they may feel the obligation to keep these relationships good. Even though relationships are usually self-fulfilling for both partners, sometimes it can get out of hand when people begin to have different points of views and are not able to agree with one another. The constant battle for acceptance by others can become extremely stressing. All of us want to be loved by someone else, that is why relationships play a big role in our life. I agree with this because even if everything is good in my life, but I am in a fight with my mom or dad, I will be very stressed and upset until we fix and resolve our problems. After reviewing all the charts it is obvious that teenagers feel constant pressure which explains the mood swings they have.
It is understandable that as teenagers mature and form into adults they can become stressed because of the new changes they are faced with. But as they begin to accept and acknowledge the importance of their life they can balance the need for money, education, personal relationships and in the end reach the happy adulthood.
