180 Pounds Of Force example essay topic
If you have a coin on your lap when you are dropping? If there is no air resistance or any other factor that would effect on the result, it will just fall along, because both of their acceleration is 9.8 m /'s 2 the same. However, it would not fall with you because of the wind or air resistance. Bumper Cars, Most important thing is the seat belt because of the collision of the car. Whenever car collides, because of the Newton!'s law of motion, it will change the motion when bumper cars collide; the drivers feel a change in their motion and become aware of their inertia. Though the cars themselves may stop or change direction, the drivers continue in the direction they were moving before the collision.
This is why it is important to wear a seat belt while driving a real car, since otherwise you could suffer injury being thrown forward in a collision. The masses of the drivers also affect the collisions. A difference in mass between two bumper car riders will mean that one-rider experiences more change in motion than the other The type of collision, velocity of the cars, and mass of the individual drivers all comes into play in bumper car collisions. The carousel is a delicate balance of motion and forces. All of the horses move through one complete circle in the same amount of time (Same RPM).
The horses on the outside of the carousel have to cover more distance than the inside horses in this of time. This means the horses on the outside have a faster linear speed than those at the hub. There were two games, which are bowling ball game and the quarter toss. In both games, inertia is the greatest factor of how to win the game.
In quarter toss, Because of the all the prize that hanging on the ceiling, so it has to be lower-longer toss, which means, it has more tendency to go straight more, so it usually toss too far and sink into the water, or if luck comes up, after toss a table and it lands next table. Moreover, Bowling ball game, it works the same way, to win the game, ball has to be stopped in the middle of two hill, which means at the beginning, exact force needs to be applied to the ball that is just good enough to pass the hill but not strong enough to over the hill back. (Galileo!'s experiment is applying in the game that is about conservation of the energy that without any factor that would cause error, the amount of energy is staying at the same.) It would not be possible if there were no error fact, to win this game. Roller Coaster is the best part of the park, I loved it, and I felt that my body was pressed into seat whenever it was accelerating, and because of the centrifugal force, body tends go inside of the seat when coaster is looping, so some of the rides doesn! t even need seatbelt.
And the reason the first car waiting time is the longest is it starts fall from the top and backmost starts accelerating even before it reaches to the top, but they are not necessary different at all, just it is all about feeling, backmost car is the more exciting one than front most one. I could experience near-weightlessness as I approach the top of a pendulum ride. Feelings of weightlessness are not due to a decrease in forces of gravitation; just I do not feel forces of gravity. What I felt was the force of a seat pushing on the body with a force to counteract gravity's downward pull.
A 180-pound person at rest in his office chair experiences the seat pushing upwards on his body with a force of 180 pounds. Yet at the top of a pendulum ride, the same 180-pound person will feel less than this normal sensation of weight. At the very top of the pendulum ride, riders begin to fall out of their seats. Since a 180-pound person is no longer in full contact with his seat, the seat is no longer pushing on him with 180 pounds of force. Thus, the rider has a sensation of weighing less than his normal weight. As I pass through the bottom of the circular arc, I experienced high g-forces.
Once again, these g-forces are not evidence of increasing forces of gravitation, but the result of increases for force applied by the seat upon their bodies. (Centrifugal force) And to make this virtual gravity, centripetal force is required and it was provided by circling motion of the rides, not only this pendulum, but every big rotating rides such as coaster, 360 degree pendulum. Centripetal force is the force that trying to pull my body to the axis, so I won! t fly away from the ride. But there is one exception which is merry go round and Carousel, because they (horse) are just stuck on the bottom and it!'s revolving with It and it!'s not fast enough to expel at all. In conclusion, I was so surprised while I was writing this lab report that, again, I realized how many physics matter, and things are involved with any single minor thing. And It was so cool to apply what I have learned from the class, it was so interesting.
And especially, some ride doesn! t have seatbelt, it questioned me for long time why they don! t have, but I got the answer, probably I knew all these things already but it!'s really hard to apply on our real life. That is the one main point that I learned from this lab if this can be called as LAB.
