Cleopatra I. Cleopatra A. Cleopatra was born in 69 B.C.B. She was the daughter of Ptolemy XII who was the current King of Egypt. Her mother, who was also Ptolemy's sister died shortly after Cleopatra was born. II. Queen of the Nile A. Cleopatra became The Queen of the Egypt in 51 B.C. following the death of her father. Not long after she became queen she fell in love with Caesar and had a love affair with him.

1. At only 18 years old she became the most admired woman in Egypt. The nineteenth-century French writer Theophile Gautier called her "The most complete woman ever to have existed, the most womanly-woman and the most queenly queen, a person to be wondered at, to whom poets have able to add nothing, and whom dreamers find always at the beginning and end of their dreams". 2. Cleopatra became pregnant with Caesars child in 47 B.C. but had a miscarriage.

Caesar became hated for his crime. It is believed that he was going to try to run the senate and then become king. To stop this from happening Brutus Cassius stabbed him to death in the senate chambers on March 15, 44 B.C.B. In 42 B.C. Cleopatra fell in love with Marc Antony who had been a great friend of Caesars and brought Caesars murderer to trial and had him found guilty. In the late summer of 41 B.C. Cleopatra and Marc Antony began their love affair. Antony was married to his third wife, Fulvia, at the time. Antony divorced Fulvia in hopes to marry Cleopatra but soon Fell in love with Octavia and married her.

When Octavia mysteriously died in 37 B.C. Cleopatra and Antony became reunited and were secretly married in 34 B.C.C. Now as the Queen and King of Egypt Cleopatra and Antony went to war with Rome in 33 B.C. over the Mediterranean Sea. The war lasted for three years and ended in 31 B.C. when Octavian, who was Antony's former wife, Octavia's brother, defeated us in Actium, Greece.. The End of Cleopatra and Antony A. Much of Egypt became enraged with Cleopatra and Antony for losing the war, and things in Egypt became very complicated. With no way out Cleopatra and Antony committed suicide together in 30 B.C.B. It is said that when Cleopatra was found dead it was "The day all of the world crumbled and fell apart. The world would never be the same, and it was not whole. The world had lost its greatest queen.".
