Pro-choice does not mean Pro-abortion, it is the right in choosing whether to reproduce, adopt, or abort. It is every human being's right to make their own decisions, and so it is a woman's right to make the choices that affect her life as she see's morally right. It is a woman's right to choose what she does with her body and it should not be altered or influenced by anyone else. Abortion is not murder because it is not taking the life of an actual human being an actual human being. Asking a woman to sacrifice her life for an embryo, is not upholding the right to life that Pro-life activists so whole heartily believe in, rather it is condemning her to sacrifice her life for something that is not yet human.

Abortion deals with a woman's private life. The Constitution grants every citizen of the United States the freedom to make their own choices as they see morally right, as long as it does not violate any laws. The ninth amendment states: ' The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people. ' (United States Constitution) This right guarantees the right to women, if they so choose, to have an abortion.

Regardless the morals of others, a woman has the right to do as she see fit according to her own beliefs. A woman's body is hers and hers alone, no one has the right to make her do something that she does not want to. Murder is defined as 'unlawfully killing a human being'. A fetus is not a human being. It is not a being, it is a potential human being. A fetus is not yet a baby, it is human tissue.

It does not posses the criteria of what we understand living human beings to have. It is not conscious, it does not possess self-awareness, it cannot communicate nor can it reason. Never mind the vicious nonsense of claiming that an embryo has a 'right to life. ' A piece of protoplasm has no rights -- and no life in the human sense of the term. An embryo has no rights. Rights do not pertain to a potential, only to an actual being.

A child cannot acquire any rights until it is born. The living take precedence over the not-yet-living (or the unborn) body? (Ayn Rand, web) Abortion cannot be and is not murder, you are not taking the life of another human being. A fetus is tissue growing inside the body of a woman. Since a fetus has no right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, it has no right to be inside the body of another human being that does not want it. However the fetus needs to be inside a woman's body to exist.

To give the fetus the right to exist in a woman's body would make the woman a slave. Slavery is not a right. It is not morally or legally a right. In fact slavery is a horrible act that was outlawed due to the Civil War.

Yet, Pro-life atavists on the belief that abortion is wrong, are condemn a woman with an unwanted pregnancy to slavery. 'Abortion is a moral right -- which should be left to the sole discretion of the woman involved; morally, nothing other than her wish in the matter is to be considered. ' (Ayn Rand, web) Pro-choice is the sole belief in the right to chose an alternative, whether is be adoption or abortion. It is not the belief in murder, since abortion does not take the life of a human being. Asking a woman to give up her life for something that is not even a human being, is asking her to make herself a slave. Abortion is an issue of women, and so it should be the woman's right to choose.

She has the free will to consider others views and morals such but it is her ultimate decision.
