America's Military Base In Pearl Harbor example essay topic

302 words
The movie "Pearl Harbor" vividly depicts the dreadful war between Unites States of America and Japan that started the Second World War. The movie effectively shows the emotions and tragedy the war brought to the two nations. The film shows the solidarity within each nation, Japan as one solid and highly advanced nation and USA as another. When Japan planned to bomb the America's military base in Pearl harbor, its army shows solidarity in utilizing their plans of attacking the military base.

Though the reason why it should be done is not clear to them, Japanese soldiers still did it because they knew that it would be for the benefit of their country. But for America, its another story, because during that time, black Americans still suffer from immense racism regarding them as just an inferior citizen. And this racism is what weakens their solidarity as a nation. In terms of participation, I think both countries did well in fighting and defending for their country. The Japanese soldiers showed their excellent participation when they were able to bomb the first class military base of then the world's most powerful nation, America.

The same thing with America, though they were greatly damaged in the unexpected bombing of the Japanese, they still tried to work as a group and participate as an American in fighting back and defending for their country. As a whole, the bombing of Pearl Harbor is one good example of how bad it would be if countries wouldn't participate and take part in building and developing a world with high regard to peace. If every country would just look for their own benefit without minding of others, we would just end up having war just like in Pearl Harbor.
