Today, we are seeing propaganda almost everywhere we go. Big sights are standing next to the highway; commercials are on the TV, and Pop ups on the internet. Propaganda techniques like Card Stacking, glittering generalities, name-calling are used to influence the emotions, attitudes or behavior of a group in order to benefit the sponsor. Card Stacking is the persuader does give accurate information, but only one side of the story. In other words, either the good side or bad side is presented, but not both. The Hundai, a Korean auto mobile company, has a commercial on TV showing that their cars have good performance, of course only the good side.

The viewers never know what!'s going to be happen when they buy their car. In general, from all the unofficial any list, the people working at the garage find out that they fix the Hundai made car the most. Glittering generalities is just the opposite of bad names. Pleasant words are used to create good feelings about a person, place or belief. Such as the previous example, the Hundai Company, they would say their cars are the best cars, have best warranties, etc. in fact, there are a lot of Auto Mobile Companies are saying the same thing.

That!'s just one of the techniques that they use to compete each other. Name-Calling technique uses disagreeable words to arouse distaste for a person, thing or belief. The Gatorade saying that water just doesn! t do enough to rehydrate you property, unlike water, the Gatorade helps replace what you! ve lost through sweat. Viewers might think that the Gatorade is simply telling us that not to drink water, or bottle water, just to buy their drinks. In their commercial on TV, the athletes are exercising, one drinks bottle water, the other one drinks Gatorade. A few while past, the athlete drinks bottle water is already tired, but the other one is still running.

These propagandas techniques are an effective means of manipulating people, but it is not the only effective form of propaganda available to the skillful propagandist. There are still many techniques out there are used to influence the emotions, attitudes or behavior of a group in order to benefit the sponsor.
