CHAPTER 1 There is a beautiful land called Taylem. It has no cities, just little districts spread across the land. The districts are like villages where everything the village needs is grown and made in the district. The country is a beautiful place of rolling hills, dense forests and plenty of natural wildlife. The districts are not joined by nasty concrete roads but instead they have dirt or cobblestone roads made by people in the districts. There are no cars, planes, busses or trains in Taylem.

People get around by horse and cart, home-made bikes, and boats. The country that borders Taylem is called Barstland. It is not as nice as Taylem but more people live there. Anyway, Barstland claimed that Taylem used to belong to them. But what they really wanted was the natural resources that Taylem had so much of. There was an abundance of gold, diamonds, timber, coal, and plenty of fresh water.

So with that excuse they invaded Taylem. In Taylem there is a certain man named Figmo. He is 25 years old. His district has not yet been affected by the war.

His dream and goal has always been to be an adventure hero, bu the never had the chance in such a peaceful country. He is a man who has the gifts of an adventure hero. He is very resourceful, skilful, and very, very brave. He is tall, thin, good looking, and very clever. Even though he has all these qualities, he has a bad habit of sometimes being influenced by the pressure of others. Both of Figmo's parents had died when he was 20 years old leaving him a sailing ship called " The Jubilee'.

Everything on the Jubilee was made up of solid timber with plenty of gold because of the abundance of them in Taylem. Even though Figmo has no brothers or sisters, he has a very close friend named Grest. The yare the same age and they have been friends since they were children. Grest is a good companion to have around because he is very encouraging.

He is very good at following instructions but not good at giving them. Figmo also has a cousin called Kab. Kab is the kind of guy you just have to love. He is a chubby, funny sort of guy who could make everybody laugh in the midst of the worst situations. His biggest problem is that sometimes he takes his jokes too far.

He is 23 years old. Grest has a fiance called Tashi. She is very attractive and she is very athletic. She always loves an adventure and is ready to tackle the next challenge. She comes from a different district than the three men. She could sometimes be a bit bossy and even demanding.

CHAPTER 2 One morning Figmo woke up with a troubled look on his face. You see, he just had a dream where he saw a lady on an island calling out to him saying, 'I can help you but you must help me first!' He didn't know what it meant so he went to see Grest. On his way there he saw a bird that stood out to him. It came up to him and started talking.

It gave him directions to the island in his dream. Then it flew away. Shocked that a bird can even talk, he went to see Grest. ' Hi Grest, I NEED to talk to you NOW!' he said.

' Hi Figmo, what's up?' he replied. ' I'm freaked out at this dream I had, and you won't believe what happened on the way here. ' said Figmo with alarm in his voice. ' Now calm down and tell me all about it. ' replied Grest. So Figmo told Grest everything. ' That's amazing!' exclaimed Grest. 'I had the SAME dream myself!

Lets go to the island. ' 'OK, lets go and tell Kab and Tashi. ' replied Figmo. It was not long before they were on the Jubilee sailing towards the island. When they reached the island they immediately went searching for the lady. As they were walking they happened to come across a strange looking man, that looked very much like a hermit. ' Hello. ' they all said.

' Hi!' said the hermit. 'What are you doing on this island so late? Come back to my place. ' When they got to the hermit's funny looking house, Figmo explained the whole situation to the hermit. After he had finished, the hermit told them that the only woman on the island was a witch that was being held prisoner in a castle by a monster.

' That must be her. ' said Grest " Well, I don't know whether she's the one to help you. ' said the hermit.'s he HAS to be the one,' said Tashi, 'now tell us all about her!' 'OK,' said the hermit, 'If you insist. First of all, Jezebe the witch is beautiful, tall, thin and very attractive. She has medium, straight jet-black hair, and deep brown piercing eyes. She is being held prisoner by a monster named Zorco. Zorco has the basic form of a human with a hairy body.

All his features are bigger than humans and very ugly. His nose is twice the size of a normal nose, his eyes are dark and blood-shot, his ears are pointed and long so that they hang down, his lips are purple from blood stains, and his teeth are pointed and yellow with bits of meat stuck in between them. ' Zorco captured the witch because he needs her powers to attract the animals for him to eat. Zorco needs the animals because he lives solely on their blood and flesh. That is all I can tell you, now have some rest. ' CHAPTER 3 The very next day Figmo was outside thinking about what they should do when all of a sudden he saw the same bird that spoke to him the other day.

' Hello. ' said the bird. ' Hi. ' said Figmo. ' I have heard,' said the bird, 'that you already know a lot about the witch and where she is. She put a spell on me to be able to speak to you and tell you how to save her.

As you know, she is in Zorco's castle. She doesn't like to see any animals in pain or dying, that is why her spells get their power from plants instead of animals like other witches. That's why she won " till the monster. The plant that can put the monster to sleep is not given to her.

It is called Nezel. That's why I am here. She needs you to get that plant for her. You can find this plant near the caves of the island.

You can't miss it. ' 'Why doesn't the hermit help you?' asked Figmo. ' I don't know. He's very strange, and he's not always around. ' replied the bird. As the party was heading to the caves, they couldn't help notice how beautiful the island was and how green the grass was. It was then that they realised why the Jezebe and Zorco lived there.

There was an abundance of animals for Zorco and plants for the witch. When they found the plant called Nezel, they picked a few handfuls and tied it to the birds feet. Then they followed the bird to the castle. The bird said, 'Wait here for half an hour for the spell to take effect, and the witch should be out after that. ' But being very curious, they decided to enter the castle and see if they could take any valuables. While the monster was asleep the witch escaped, but she didn't know the group was in the castle.

With the witch having escaped the spell was dying off. As Zorco woke up, he heard someone in his treasure room. As he entered he found the group filling their pockets with gold. When Figmo saw Zorco, he grabbed a golden spear and put it through his head killing the monster. They ran outside and found the witch looking for them. ' How are you?' she asked.

' Totally exhausted and extremely relieved!' they replied CHAPTER 4'So Jezebe, how can you help us? asked Figmo. Jezebe answered, 'I know all about the war in Taylem. I can come back to Taylem with you and put a spell on the enemy soldiers, and while they are sleeping, we can ship them back to Barstland. ' 'Well what are we waiting for?' asked Kab, 'Let's go!' The very next day they sailed off for Taylem.

But something was troubling Tashi, something didn't add up, something wasn't quite right, though she couldn't put her finger on it. Youse e, the witch had a secret plan. After she put the enemy to sleep and cleaned the land of war, she was planning to put ALL the humans of Taylem to sleep because she wanted to rule over the animals of Taylem. To her the animals were greater than humans. CHAPTER 5 When they got back to their homeland, they were astonished at the damage caused by the bloody war. First of all there were bodies everywhere.

There was blood all over the place and swords and shields were scattered on the ground. There were many houses burnt to the ground, and many districts were left in ruins. All the animals ran away in fear and most of the trees had died. It looked terrible!

When they saw this, the group was shocked and angry. They wanted to get started on the plan right away. The witch told Grest to go and get some Nezel. ' Remember to get a lot,' she added, 'we are dealing with a lot of people here.

' After they brought it to her, she did a spell. Not long after, all the enemy soldiers were asleep. It was not long before they were all shipped back to Barstland. Even after all this was finished, Taylem still looked shocking. ' What are we going to do about Taylem?' asked Tashi. ' I know of a plant,'s aid Jezebe, 'called Black Label.

With a magic spell, this plant will help take away any desire for war in the hearts of the people as well as making nature instantly rebuild itself. Taylem will once again look like paradise. If you find me that plant, I can begin the spell. You will need a lot of it. ' After they returned with a large quantity of Black Label, the witch performed the spell as she put some of the plant in her mouth. What she did not realise is that, unlike the Black Label on the island, the Black Label in Taylem had an insect living in it called Scamp.

The witch was allergic to scamp and she died soon after the spell began to take effect. When the people saw the witch dying, they noticed that she changed from a beautiful lady into an old twisted devil. That is when they noticed a scar on her left arm which said " JEZEBEL THE DECEIVER'. When they saw this, they were extremely shocked and puzzled. Why did she die? Why washer real name Jezebel?

However, they were relieved that the enemy was gone and that nature began to turn around. After everything was back in order, the hermit suddenly appeared in Taylem. It happened to be Christmas Day. He asked to speak to all the elders of Taylem. ' Elders of Taylem, I have something to tell you.

It's very good that you have Taylem back to the way it should be, but I hope that you have learnt your lesson in all this. You don't know this but the witch had a plan other than to put the enemy to sleep. She wanted to put you all to sleep! But because in the plant was a bug which she was allergic to, I allowed her to die. The lesson in all this is... never, ever trust powers which control people, even if these powers seem to be used for a good cause. Remember, witchcraft is as the sin of rebellion!

'Now I am leaving and I will be back in the future, but I'm not telling you when. The only thing that truly stops wars is LOVE. I want to come back and find LOVE. ' He then started to rise up in the sky and disappeared.
