In a society that strives for perfection, there are many problems, which might offend types of race, religion, and gender just by saying one word. Who decides what words have to be changed to become Politically Correct? By trying to be Politically Correct it might just offend a different type of person or gender. Political Correctness is not making problems better, but in fact making it worse for many reasons.

The first major reason why Political Correctness is making matters worst is the more that we have to correct, the more it takes way ones right of freedom of speech. In the Constitution the first amendment enables us the right of freedom of speech. The more words that have to be changed so it,'s Politically Correct the more it takes that right way that our founding fathers fought for us. The second major reason why Political Correctness is bad is because what one word offends one person, it may not offend the other.

By America being a made up of many different cultures, races, and religions what one word that offends someone might not offend another. And what one person thinks a certain word should be changed, another person might seem to think it is stupid and pointless. The third reason why I think Political Correctness is bad to society is because it changes meaning of words and can be misleading to others. By changing one word around to make it Politically Correct it could confuse somebody and cause him or her to do their job wrong. For example, instead of calling someone who is high somebody calls him or her ^aEURoechemically imbalanced^a EUR that could cause confusion. Being Politically Correct could cause confusion and mistakes a work by using different vocabulary.

In the world we live in today, everyone has to be careful what they say so or do so that they don, t offend others. But by everyone being Politically Correct it may actually offend more people than older word used. In the society that we live in today, no matter how far one goes with Political Correctness, there is always someone going to be unhappy.
