There are several different perspectives on weather abortion is right or wrong. It often becomes a controversy. One way of arguing it is with Kerby Anderson's "A Biblical View of Abortion". Another is with Richard J. Hardy's "The Right to Choose".

And lastly is Rachel's, an anonymous writer from msngroups. com, "Abortion the Murder of Innocence". Each of theses controversial articles are to objectively present different view or perspectives of abortion. Kerby Anderson's "A Biblical View of Abortion", shows the aspect of abortion from the point of view of the Holy Bible. Anderson says that no where in the Bible does it actually say that abortion is wrong, just only that it was the unthinkable. It was said that children were viewed as a gift or heritage from the Lord.

Also the scriptures said that God was the one opens and closes the womb. And it was said to be a curse to be without a child. Anderson mentions that David has a relationship with God while he was developing and growing before birth. David was also seen as "God's creative work within his mother's womb" (Anderson). He also says that if a woman is to give birth and the baby dies, or is stillborn, then the law of relation is used. "A baby inside the womb is treated as a baby outside the womb" (Anderson).

Anderson uses examples and passages from the Holy Bible to show evidence that the Bible is against abortion, and so is Anderson. Unlike Kerby Anderson, Richard J. Hardy shows the perspective of abortion from the pro-choice view in "The Right to Choose". Hardy believes that a woman should have the right to choose weather she wants to have an abortion or not. He says "a fetus is not yet a baby. It does not posses the criteria derived from our understanding of living human beings" (Hardy). Hardy thinks that our understanding of living human beings have the criteria of consciousness, reasoning, self-motivated activity, the capacity to communicate, and the presence of self-concepts.

He says that therefore it is okay for a woman to have an abortion, because her fetus is not yet a living human being. Hardy proves that it is alright for woman to have an abortion legally with the ninth amendment. In the ninth amendment it says that a woman can have an abortion up to the first trimester of her pregnancy. Each of Hardy's opinions and facts show that he is for abortion. Lastly, unlike the other two opinions, is the opinion of the baby who is actually being aborted.

Rachel, an anonymous writer from msngroups. com, writes "Abortion Murder of Innocence". Of course a baby who is actually aborted can not write a letter to their mother, but this article says what they might say after they are aborted if they could. Rachel writes that the baby does not understand the concept of abortion and why someone would do that. The baby thinks that abortion is just a mean monster that came and took off her legs and arms, and then finally all of her.

Rachel writes "A very mean monster came into that warm, comfortable place I was in. I was so scared, I began screaming, but you never heard me" (Rachel). Rachel's point of view from the aborted baby is that the baby doesn't understand what is going on. She just knows that it is painful and scary. The baby also says that "One day you cried almost all of the day. I hurt for you.

I couldn't imagine why you were so unhappy. That same day, the most horrible thing happened" (Rachel). The evidence that Rachel uses is the process of what a woman and her fetus go through during the process of an abortion, both mentally and physically. Rachel obviously believes that abortion is wrong, because of the pain and hurt a woman may go through. Each perspective on abortion is different and they each come from dissimilar view points. They all have information to back up their arguments.

Kerby Anderson uses Bible passages for evidence. Richard J. Hardy uses facts from the constitution. And Rachel uses the procedure and mental and physical pain of abortion to support her letter. Each author also uses their own opinion of weather they think it is right or wrong.
