Since Chinese car market has been opened in 1970!'s, owning a private car had become a dream of most of Chinese families. Nowadays, with the development of economy, this dream can be easily realized, as most Chinese families has had their own cars. However, the massive growth in private car ownership over the last two decades has led to many problems such to the society such as traffic congestions. This topic will explore the various options that are available to address the problems of congestion caused by the overload of cars and the different ways to change people!'s travel behaviour. Firstly, the main problem caused by overload cars in China is road congestion due to the outgrowth number of cars that are available on the streets. Such problems will lead to time wasting especially when drivers are trapped in the middle of the road.

This phenomenon should not be neglected. Road congestion not only affects people!'s daily life but also might bring bad effect on economic development. For example, a person might feel frustrated for being late for an appointment thus makes him / her feel unhappy or it may means a huge financial loss for the company when these appointments turn out to be important to the company!'s success or growth. The various reasons for these problems are explained as follows. Since China is a historical country, many of its old building capture the essence of its historical values and are kept for these purposes. Thus, the locations of these old buildings are limiting the development of road building.

For example, the problem of congestions can be seen evidently in the city of Xi An. Being an old city of China, many of its old buildings is protected from being destroyed thus limiting the development of road building in the city. One of the solutions to this problem is to produce a car, which has network equipments and facilities to help the driver in making decisions especially in deciding which road to take to avoid further road congestion. These equipments could receive the information of the congestion in time, and inform the driver beforehand, hence, the drivers can avoid wasting time if a congestion is due to happen. The second problem revolves around the issue of petrol.

First of all, the price of petrol in China is very expensive as it is always increasing. Furthermore, leaded petrol can cause air pollution. The issues of pollutions should be paid more attention. The poisonous gas, known as carbon dioxide, which is ejected by the car, is very harmful to environment.

For instance, in Beijing, the capital of China has the worst air pollution compared to other cities. The atmosphere is full of poisonous gases, causing blurry visions. Drivers should also be encouraged to use unleaded petrol, which will cause less pollution. Finally, because resources are limited, the issue of saving petrol is vital in tackling these problems. For these three reasons above, the car manufacturers should create a new type of car, which saves fuel or uses other new sources that are available such as the solar system.

For various benefits, more small or compact cars should be produced and people should be encouraged to buy them than larger cars. Smaller cars have smaller engine and thus, consume less petrol. The smaller engine size car might also save fuel consumption and hence can solve petrol issues and road congestion. In other ways, a new type of fuel can also solve the problems. For example, water or solar system is a good substitute for petrol. The integrant's of the final products are oxygen and hydrogen only.

They are harmless to the environment as for example; solar system only uses energy to operate the car instead of fuel. In addition, electricity is a considerable choice. The third problem is car parking space. Although China has vast lands and considered spacious compared to other countries, there are about 1.3 billion people living in this country.

Nowadays, in China, the problem of living space is considered a more important issue than building car parking space. To solve this type of problem, it relies on car manufacturer to produce special cars, such as, ! (R) Peugeot! (a famous French car manufacturer) has produced a type of car that could transform its size and shape to fit smaller car parking space. For example, ! ^0 Peugeot! +/- (a famous French car manufactory) has produced a kind of car that could change its size.

The car is normal four doors car when it is being used on the road but can be changed instantly into a two door compact car by pressing a special button inside the car. This car looks beautiful and has several advanced electric equipments to facilitate this feature to change its shape and form. With this type of car, parking a car becomes an easier work. The drivers will not have any trouble with smaller spaces to park a car. In Beijing, the capital of China, the problem has influenced people!'s daily life more and more because of the rapid development of private cars and the increasing population. The emerging of this new type of car, which can change its own size, is a solution to the many problems caused by the overload of cars.

Fourthly, traffic accident kills millions of people every year. Despite of having the most perfect driving skills, some road accidents are unavoidable. Sometimes, even small mistakes could lead to huge traffic accidents. There are safety systems, which have been implemented in most cars, such as lifebelt, airbag and ABS. These systems can help to reduce injury when accidents happen. It is also suggested that these safety systems can be implemented as an external protective system to protect victims of car accidents such as pedestrians for instance, the car may change its form when it hit something hard or eject an airbag externally to protect the victim or pedestrian who is being knocked down or injured during the accident to reduce injury.

The above issues highlighted are some of the possible solutions towards tackling the problem of road congestions and transport issues caused by outnumbered of car ownerships in China. Although all of them are not applicable in all situations, but in one way or another, they are possible attempts to reduce number of cars on the road, improved transport interchanges, and hence, reduce congestions and the demand to travel.
