Bulls Fans example essay topic

459 words
Fans all over the city of Philadelphia are very upset and confused with the eagles poor start of the 2003-2004 NFL Season. The general controversy in this article is fans need to give the Eagles positive motivation than negative motivation when their backs are against the wall. The author purposes for writing this article were to share not only his thoughts about the childish acting of fans but to also share a personal experience. The author's argument has some major points.

First, he said "There is no reason to throw beer at McNabb, or demand the firing of Andy Reid due to the poor start of the team". That would only make our city look worse than the unattractive reputation we already have in the sports world and kick our own team when they " re already down". Secondly, he stated "Let's cut the Eagles a break by remembering that there's more to being a fan than blindly coveting a Super Bowl Berth". I totally agree with this authors opinion. I strongly feel that we as fans need to stop the negative action because there still is hope. Fans kicking the team while their down is not helping the Eagles gain confidence.

It's bad enough they have to hear about the poor start from there coaches, front office, owner and also from their teammates. It seems everyone wants to jump off the bandwagon when its rough. I guarantee if the Eagles start winning and are close to winning that convenient trophy, everyone will be right back on. I take for example Michael Jordan and the Bulls of the 1995-1996 season. The Bulls started the NBA season 8-12, while Scottie Pippen was injured.

You didn't hear any negative comments from the fans, it was all positive because there was still hope. Scottie Pippen returned and the Bulls went on a 23 games winning streak. In the end, the Bulls won the NBA Championship. The point I'm trying to make is the Bulls fans never gave up even through the tough times and look what they came out with. I currently do not have an alternate opinion about this subject because I totally agree with the authors' opinion. I feel the authors response to this subject matter is correct because this is a major issue involving our hometown football team.

I feel this article if read by anyone will be effective because it's just the truth. It most certainly achieves it purpose and the article is very persuasive to its audience. The author in one manner is narrow-minded but then the truth is also narrow-minded; so you choose.
