Philosophy 18 April 7, 2001 Chinese Boycott of Products I was trying to give some aid toe the relief of the Tibetans by boycotting the products made by the Chinese. My goal was to avoid the products produced in china for a total of 3 weeks. This was meant to be an easy thing to do and for and easy grade. However, I found that to be much to the contrary. I found that everything that I wonted was made in China.

And out of the things that weren't I couldn't afford, or just plain didn't want. One of the last elements that entered the scenario was many product didn't even list the country of origin so there was no way of knowing if it was produced there or not. On my many shopping sprees, I really had no idea what kind of volume came out of such a country. I would go from aisle to aisle looking a searching seeing the words, "Made in China" in the little gold oval everywhere. There is no doubt that China must make lots of money from the United States, as I am sure the rest of the world. From toys to computers to glasses to bikes, there is nothing out that is not made in that China.

Cutting out the Chinese products for a week would topple the economy of the country if every one did, and I mean everyone, but I fear that it is close to an impossibility, but I still feel the better man for helping the best I could by simply not buying anything..
