City As Big As New York City example essay topic
He joined the University of Alberta and studied business. After receiving a much anticipated Degree in Business and Computer Sciences he found himself a nice job with a Company which is world wide famous, known as Philip Morris Co. (Kraft foods, Marlboro cigarettes) This man was my uncle, Daniel. My Uncle's job at first was to make programs to develop ways of saving money. After a few years at doing a good job at this, he became a junior executive. His new job came with an office, a small one at that.
His new job consisted of hiring, interviewing, and answering questions employees had to see how they like their job. He loved to interact with the others around him, and to have the chance to help the new people entering the company. After a few years working as a junior executive, he finally got the move up to senior executive. With his new position he had the chance to fly around the world. He would head to various locations such as Switzerland, Australia and Japan to name a few. I first met him when he was in his early stages of his career.
He helped me guide through my decision process to arrive at, that I wanted to enter the vas world of business. He was most definitely, my first defining moment. The first time I had been to New York City was when I went to meet my Aunt and Uncle at the New York airport. I had never been to a city as big as New York City before, let alone see as many people walk the streets then I did that day.
Traffic in Manhattan was horrible, when the bumper-to-bumper action died to a dwindle, and we finally got moving at a constant speed things seemed perfect. I felt at home, weird as it was in a big city. I still remember how great he was to my brother, my sister and me. He treated us like his own kids, even though he never had any of his own kids.
I loved to spend time with my Aunt and Uncle. My Uncle use to tell us, "If I had kids I would want them like you". Just the thought of how much they both meant to me was truly my most defining moment, and ever since I have been working harder to prove that I have what it takes. Unfortunately, this past August, five days before my seventeenth birthday my Uncle passed away while in Montreal. He suffered a stroke and was rushed to the hospital, while fighting vigilantly; he didn't have enough to over come it.
He passed away and left this world forever, even though every time I come to something I have to do, but don't want to do it. Unlike before I would set it off, I think hard about how much he worked to get where he was in life. So I sit down and I do what I have to do, just to prove that I can still make him proud..
