They serve foe six-year period. The number of representatives depends on the state population density. From here, they are broken down into comities and sub committees. These comities address different issues.

They change bills into complex laws. The three most important comities are the Rules Committee, the Appropriations Committee, and the Ways and Means Committee. Some comities overlap so multiple committees and sub-committees view bills before they are they become laws. The senate is another part of the legislative branch.
