Any one of these nine ways will result in capital punishment. I believe that the death penalty is a good way to punish those who have committed any of the listed crimes above, although, there are also reasons against the death penalty. The death penalty is used in every state except Alaska, Hawaii, Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

In other words, the death penalty causes murders to not want the death penalty, which would later decrease the homicide rate.
