Discrimination On Grounds Of Sex example essay topic

Discrimination is negative manifestations of integrative power instead of bringing or holding people together, discrimination push them apart. Today, discrimination still exists in the world. There are many different varieties of discrimination in the world. As I am a girl, I found that the sex discrimination seems more serious than the other discrimination. Women are not equal to men usually occurs on the work, education and financial services.

That all could called sex discrimination. It is direct sex discrimination about employment is the dismissal of all part-time workers in a firm where all of the part-time workers are female or dismiss a woman because she is pregnant. As only a woman can become pregnant, dismissal on the grounds of pregnancy is automatically discrimination on grounds of sex. If when a woman pregnant, that she would be dismissed, that would make the woman do not want to have a baby. Because once she has the baby, but she will lose her job that how she feed her children, maybe at that time her husband already has 3 jobs.

There are not many rich people in the world, as this result, I think if a woman is pregnant that she would be dismissed, she would not want to have a baby before she has enough money to bring her children up. I remember when I was still in China, I heard of a news about a woman who was a pregnancy. She did not want to born the baby because she did not want to lose her job, she had known her boss would dismiss a pregnancy. she did not know how to do, she had nothing to depend upon at that time. At last, she went to a abortarium. She want to commit feticide.

Unfortunately, the operation was fail, she and her baby are dead. This news was very shocking. I think if her boss allow the pregnancy work, that this tragedy will never happen. In fact, that is sex discrimination, it is direct sex discrimination. A girl and boy must have the same access to the school curriculum, that is, they must be given exactly the same subject options and the same amount of subject teaching. In fact, that seems impossible, sex discrimination still exists on the education.

Many family do not want to let the girl to school. Sometimes, the school would like to assent the boy more than like to assent the girl. Let's look at an example, a girl is sending in her first college application. There is only one spot left open between the girl and a boy.

The girl slightly better grades, both of her excelled in sports, she has more volunteer hours, and completed 2 foreign languages where the boy only has one. But at last, the school still give the last position to the boy because in the college atmosphere that they need a boy. Is that fair?? Is that right?? The girl clearly had a better dossier than the boy!

I think nobody would say that is fair, the college do the right way. That is the sex discrimination still exists. Sex discrimination also exists on the financial services. It is unlawful for a financial services provider to discriminate by, for example, asking a married woman to provide a guarantor for a loan (unless a man in a similar position would also be asked to do this).

Insisting that a married woman seeking a loan must apply jointly with her husband (unless all married applicants are asked to apply jointly) or setting more stringent conditions when a woman asks for a business loan than when a man does. It may be lawful, however, to discriminate when providing insurance cover. Woman can not accept too many pressures. Today, sex discriminate still exists in the world. I think that will be gradually reduced, because more and more people know this point is wrong.

Women also know how to safeguard themselves. I hope the sex discriminate will disappear on one day.
