As twilight draws near, the proprietor gazes upon Mother Nature's creations blending together to form life. The marvelously bright green grass has been freshly mowed by the man standing amongst the shadows of the trees. The grass appears to be damaged from the blistering summer sun altering the tips with a slight amber hue. The slight northerly breeze blows gently upon her face; like a soft feather soothing her smooth skin.

The vibrantly elder oak-near the house-sways from the fresh breeze. This time of year makes the autumn colors flourish; the leaves are domineering with luscious reds, vibrant ginger, golden, and bronzed colors. The magnitudes of the leaves are all exceptional. There is not one the same, like a snowflake, each one has it's own pattern. Watching the leaves falling from the tree she mentally relaxes and takes time to clear her thoughts of her busy every day life.

Birds with white bodies soar overhead so silently only to get noticed as they pass through the shadows of dusk. Flying in a V formation, they persist on a passageway to a more comfortable climate. Off to the right side of the small-framed house-and a little past the elder oak- sits a small brown and white squirrel with beady little eyes. Its tail is long and slender, pointing strait up in the air. The animal is always observing his territory, keeping one watchful eye on what he is about to acquire, and for any enemies who can attack him at any given moment.

Running around to find twigs, leftover food and whatever else he can handle to carry back to his home in the old elder tree. Subsequently gathering the small bits of food for winter he runs up the old oak tree-like a cat being chased like a dog- with the beautiful leaves. Lost in the flourishing leaves he is no longer to be seen. A slight distance away she becomes aware of an elder, slender man walking his dog.

It's one of those little "ankle biters", hopping around barking at the least bit of movement from any direction. The tall slender man with the dark coat holds onto the red leash tied around the dog's choker. The elder man walks slowly, with a slight limp, as the little dog hops around his ankles giving the duo the impression of happiness. Passing in front of her the elder man waves his hand and smiles to her wishing her a wonderful day. Keeping her thoughts to herself, she mentally notes this is wondrous day. Enjoying the beauty and splendor of the world that we live in, she decides to venture to the river walk across the park.

Walking amongst the oaks, popular's and weeping willows, she draws closer to what is called the Fox River. The smell of fish is strong, and the ragweed is emerging all over the place with modest lavender flowers sprouting in between. There is a paved walkway stretching to the left and to the right, it is wide enough for pedestrians who enjoy walking and for the enthusiast bicycle rider. On the river's edge, off to the right, is a loading ramp, that is fairly new, for the many boats coming and going out for the last ride of the season. The water splashes upon the embankment sending the white frothy water over the top of the shoreline.

Two baby duck's seem to be resting in the murky water, floating like little decoys waiting to be trapped. The huge ominous houses across the river, situated on the edge of the cliff, are casting shadows over the river making the houses look larger then projected. Off to the left, and across the opposite side of the river, remains Shoreline Boat Club. Many docks are filled with overloaded boats from the previous summer months. All the boat owner's have their vessels tied securely to the nearest hook on the dock to keep if from drifting.
