Drugs are not healthy because they harm the body physically, emotionally, and have few, if any positive effects at all. Health nuts are all around us. Juice bars, oxygen bars, health food, and natural healing people are found in almost every city there is. The irony is amazing in that all the while people are making the worst choices for themselves health-wise. Healthy people do a few certain things which separates them from unhealthy people. Firstly, healthy people eat good foods.
Not even only the food from the "health food" store, but fruits and vegetables, and other foods that are from the basic food groups. These foods provide vitamins and minerals which help the body to work better. Another thing that healthy people do is exercise on a regular basis. Running, lifting weights, and even walking constitutes as exercise. It's the release of tension while also utilizing the muscles and circulating the blood throughout the body.
The third and final thing that healthy people do is take care of themselves and their lives in general. Facial, body, and oral hygiene are all key components of living a healthy life. It obstructs the spread of diseases, and just being clean in general helps socially because polluted people usually are outcasts in society. Proper and enough sleep are also necessities in being healthy. Those who are constantly tired and not allowing themselves enough rest, are usually those who are sick and unhealthy. Drugs are not healthy because they provide none of the aforementioned qualities that healthy people possess.
Doing drugs is feeding your body poison. Drugs are toxins and when taking drugs it's killing a certain part of you body at a much faster pace than the natural rate of decay occurs. Many drugs help to lose the urge to eat, and consequently become very thin because or starvation, and because of the horrid effects of the drugs on muscle mass. Many hard-core drug users abuse not only their bodies, but their lives. Often times cleanliness and order are forgotten or just avoided and consequently become unorganized and dirty living in hell holes and with filthy hygiene habits. Drugs are very clearly not healthy in any way shape or form.
Certain drugs do, however, prevent illnesses, and can help those who are sick. Certainly these are not the drugs that are being discussed in this essay.
