I have always wondered what I wanted to be when I grew up, maybe a lawyer, a designer, or even a CEO of a company. Now that I'm grown up, I'm still asking myself what I want to be. I have gone from an assistant manager of dry cleaner to an assistant manager of a clothing store to a billing specialist for a healthcare provider to now being a receptionist for a university. Instead of working my way up it feels as though I'm going down hill. As I look through the help wanted ads I notice that most companies require several years of experience in a certain position or a degree of some kind. I wondered how someone could gain experience when they have no chance of obtaining the position which leads to going back to school and obtaining a degree in business administration.
So now I ask myself "What do I want to achieve as a University of Phoenix student". I want to be able to walk into a company.
