Edmund Back To Aslan example essay topic
She left the door open, because she knew it was a foolish thing to lock oneself up in a wardrobe. She kept walking to the back, looking for the wall but she found none. Instead of feeling coats, or a wooden floor, she felt branches and snow. This confused her, as she kept walking. In the distance, she saw a light and when she reached it, it turned out to be a lamp post. She started walking around, when a creature walked towards her.
He was smaller than Lucy, and had the legs of a goat, a tail and held an umbrella in his hand. It was a Faun, and his name was Mr. Tumnus. Lucy introduced herself, and the Faun asked her if she was a Daughter of Eve. Lucy didn't understand, and Mr. Tumnus asked her is she was a girl, which was true. Mr. Tumnus asked if she would like to go to is house and have some tea, and Lucy replied with a yes. They ate and drank, while Mr. Tumnus told her about all kinds of things like the White Witch, and Lucy told of her siblings.
When Lucy told him she had to leave, Mr. Tumnus began to cry. Lucy tried to comfort him, but he kept saying that he was a bad Faun, because he worked for the White Witch, whom made it always winter, but never Christmas. He had to take the Sons of Adam and the Daughters of Eve to her, but he couldn't now since they became friends. He brought Lucy back to the lamp post, but they had to be quiet, for the Witch had spies everywhere, even some trees. Lucy ran through the door of the wardrobe and stumbled out and ran to her siblings, and told them she'd come back. Her siblings didn't understand what she meant, for Lucy had only been gone for a merely a second.
She told them everything she'd experienced, but they did't believe her. Edmund kept making fun of her and asked if she'd found any new worlds since then. A few days later, they decided to play hide and seek. Edmund was "it" and had to find everyone.
Lucy was hiding in the back room, when she heard Edu mnd coming, and hid in the wardrobe. Edmund came into the room, and decided to look in the wardrobe. Maybe Lucy was there. He searched around, but couldn't find anything.
He too, stumbled into Narnia. He shouted for Lucy, and apologized for not believing her, but Lucy didn't appear. Instead, a sled with a tall woman, wearing white, with a white face appeared. A dwarf was steering two wite reindeer. The sled stopped immediately when the Witch saw Edmund. He introduced himself.
At first the witch was mean at first, but when she found out he was a son of Adam (a boy), she suddenly became very friendly. She gave Edmund some turkish Delight, his favorite food, and kept him warm. The Witch enchanted the Turkish Delight, so that the person who ate it, would want more, and more untill they ate themselves to death. Edmund promised the Witch that he'd bring his siblings, and he'd get more Turkish Delight and she'd crown him Prince of Narnia, and later king. When Lucy found Edmund after she'd visited Mr. Tumnus, she's happy, because now Edmund knew she hadn't lied. She told him about the Witch and the bad things she'd done, and how everyone hated her.
Edmund felt uncomfortable, because he thought she was nice. When Edmund and Lucy found their older siblings, Lucy told them that everything was true and Edmund had seen it, too. But Edmund denies it, and now Lucy was mad at him. The professor's home was very old and famous, and there were often tours around it. The housekeeper told the children never to be int he way when one of those tours took place. One day, while walking through the house they heard voices, and went into the old back room to hide.
They then also went into the wardrobe, in fear that the people'd come into the room. They were all now in Narnia, and everyone believed Lucy. Lucy decided they'd best go to see Mr. Tumnus, but when they got to his house, everything was turned upside down, and there was a note that said Mr. Tumnus had been arrested by guards of the Queen. Lucy wanted to go save the Faun, when a small bird got their attention.
The bird brought them to a beaver, who could speak. By now, they knew things weren't like they were in England. The beaver beckons them to follow him, and they did so. He brought them to his home, where it was safe from all of the Witch's spies. Inside, Mrs. Beaver was sewing. They spent the day there, and at night they ate.
After dinner, Mr. Beaver told them about Aslan, the true King of Narnia, and that he was coming back to Narnia at the Stone Table. Also, that The White Witch wasn't a queen, and that she wanted to capture the children, in fear that when two sons of Adam, and two daughters of Eve sat on the thrones of Cair Paravel, the white witch would die. Lucy asked again what happened to Mr. Tumnus, and how they could rescue him, but the beaver told her that only Aslan could save him, becase the Queen had probably turned him into stone. After some time, they notice that Edmund was missing. They search for him, but he's nowhere to be found. They leave for the stone table, because Mr. Beaver knows for certain that Edmund had gone to the Witch and she would be hot on their trails very soon.
They must walk very far to go to the table. By then, Edmund had walled to the Witch's house. In the courtyard, there were statues of all kinds of animals, that looked very life-like. And in front of the door, was a wolf who Edmund gave a message for the queen, saying he'd arrived. The Witch is angry at Edmund, because he didn't bring his siblings with him.
Edmund told her that they were on their way to the Sone Table with Mr. And Mrs. Beaver because Aslan would be there. They left immediately. The other child er and Mr. And Mrs. Beaver were far on the way. They hid in a small cave where beavers hid in bad times, because it was cold, and they were starting to get very tired. They heard the sound of a sled and thought it was the Witch, but after Mr. Beaver checked, it turned out the be Father Christmas.
He gave everyone gifts: Peter got a Sword and shield, Susan got a bow and arrow as well as a small ivory horn, and Lucy got a flask with a healing liquid inside, when used, only a few drops will heal someone. The children and the beavers had to carry on their journey after that. Edmund still hadn't gotten his Turkish Delight, and the Witch was being very mean to him. On the way in the sled, they saw some animals eating happily. The fox wanted to give a toast, when the Witch asked him on what he wanted to toast. The fox told her i twas for the witch, but then she asked where they'd gotten the food.
And he told her he got it from a ther Christmas. The witch was so angry, she turned them all into stone. The snow was starting to melt, and it was getting harder and harder to go on with the sled, so they had to walk further. Mr. Beaver told them that Aslan was near, for it was he who was causing the snow to melt. They arrived at the Stone Table, which was by the sea. They saw a big tent with a lion on it, and then they saw Aslan, who was standing in the middle of a group of animals and other creatures.
At first, they didn't dare go up to him, but then Peter did. He welcomed them with a caring and friendly voice. He asked where the fourth Son of Adam was, and they told him that Edmund had gone to the Witch. Susan and Lucy went to rest in the tent, while Aslan showed Peter the castle of Cair Paravel, where they would become Queens and Kings. Aslan told Peter that he would be the High King, because he was the first born. They then heard Susan's horn, and Aslan said that there was trouble.
When they arrived at the tent, everyone was fleeing, and Susan was high up in a tree, with a large wolf underneath biting at her. The Wolf, Maudrim, was the head guard of the Witch that she had sent to the Stone Table. Peter lunged at the wolf, who wanted to attack Peter too but Peter stabbed the Wolf in his chest with his sword. Then they see another wolf, Maudrim's helper, running away. The creatures on Asaln's side quickly ran after it, and Aslan Knighted Peter, telling him to never forget to clean his sword.
At another location, the Witch, the Dwarf and Edmund stopped. The dwarf and the Witch are talking, when the wolf that escaped come towards them. He told the Witch what happened and she ordered him to call all of the bad creatures (Giants, Witches, Minotaur's, werewolves etc.) She then tied Edmund to a tree, and pulled his head back while sharpening her knife. Just then, all the creatures Aslan had sent on her appeared. They attacked the witch and gave Edmund wine to make him feel better. But suddenly the dwarf and the witch, and they brought Edmund back to Aslan.
When they left, a rock and a tree stump began to move. The witch had cast a spell on herself and the dwarf to make them appear what they were not. The next morning when Peter, Susan and Lucy awoke, they saw Aslan and Edmund talking. Edmund walked towards his siblings, and apologized for what he did. Then, a messenger of the Witch gave Aslan the message that the Witch wanted to speak with him.
Aslan agreed to talk, and a while later, the Witch came to see him. She said that Edmund had chosen for her side, and if he now chose for Aslan's side, he had to die. For there was a Hidden Force that, when such a thing would occur, Narnia would cease to exist. Aslan wanted to speak with the witch alone, and when they were done, the witch left. Aslan told the children they had made a deal, but he elaborate. Aslan told everyone they had to pack up and leave here, to set up camp somewhere else.
On their way, Aslan told them how they had to fight the Witch. He seemed sad the entire time. At night, everyone went to bed, but Lucy and Susan couldn't sleep because they felt something was going to happen with Aslan. They crept out of the tent, and just then they saw Aslan walking away from the campsite. They followed him, and he noticed they did. He told them they could come with him, only if they stopped when he said so.
They were so close to the Stone Table, they could see it. As soon as they saw it, Aslan told them to stay there. Aslan walked further on his own. The girls saw a lot of the bad creatures near the table, and the Witch was in the middle of them all. The creatures grabbed Aslan and muzzled him. Aslan never did anything to them, not even when they shaved his mane off.
They put him on the stone table, and the Witch made cruel jokes, saying he was stupid for giving his life for Edmund and that Narnia would never be free anymore, for she was in charge forever. Then she held up her stone knife, and Lucy and Susan turned around, fearing what they would see. Later, when all the creatures and the Witch left, Lucy and susan walked towards Aslan, and freed him of his muzzle. They tried to free him from the ropes they tied him with, but they were tied too tight. That night they felt the worst anyone could ever feel.
When it got lighter, a lot of mice started to bite through the ropes and the lion was freed. Then they started walking back to the camp. But not soon after, they heard a loud crack. The stone table was broken in half, and when they got closer, they noticed Aslan wasn't there anymore.
They began to cry, because they thought it was another magic trick. The they heard a voice behind them. It was Aslan and he was alive! They hugged him and he explained that there was a force more powerful that The Hidden Force. If someone were to sacrifice themselves for a betrayer, while having done nothing themselves, the Table would break in half, and Death would work in reverse. Then as lan told the children to hold onto him, and they ran to the Witch's Castle.
Aslan blew on all og the statues, turning them back into animals and creatures. When all the creatures were turned back, Aslan told the giant that was there, to break the Witch's castle. Then they all went to the camp where Edmund and Peter were. And they saw that the bad creatures and the Witch were fighting Peter's Army. It quickly ended when Aslan and the other creatures attacked. Aslan immediately attacked the Witch and killed her.
Every enemy got killed. Peter told them that the Witch was turning everyone into stone, but Edmund broke her wand with his sword, so she couldn't do anymore damage. Edmund was badly wounded, but Lucy had the flask with the healing liquid she had gotten from Father Christmas. She gave Edmund and the other creatures that needed it, a few drops of the liq iud and they all healed. Finally, when everything ended Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy were crowned the Kings and Queens of Narnia. Peter was known as King Peter the Magnificent the High King, Susan as Queen Susan the Gentle, Edmund as King Edmund the Just, and Lucy as Queen Lucy the Valiant.
They ruled Narnia for many years, untill one day they were in the woods, and found the old lamp post, not remembering what had happened many years before that. They followed the path, and stumbled out of the wardrobe one again. They were in their own clothes again, and they'd turned back into children. They told the professor, and he said they could not go back to Narnia, at least not that way. They had to find another way.
