The Military Social Institution is one of the three Primary Social Institutions. The military was initially established to help protect, as well as unify a country, but since it's development, it's done so plus more. The Military as a social institution has led to domination and conquering of sorts, while trying to balance morals and justifications. Since the military is run by the government, it can be assumed that not only does this institution try to control and rationalize, but also continue to boil over into much of the other institutions. The Economic Social Institution is another one of the three Primary Institutions. The hold that the economy plays on a societies life is overwhelming to say the least.

With the Economy being one of the biggest influences on social interaction in today's society, it is understandable why we have used it as a foreground in which we continue to build on. With wealth and development growing due to an economies strong hold on society, we seem to always use that as one of our bases for happiness. Without the Economic Social Institution, the socialistic structure would always lean to domination and political stature, rather then the wealth or development in which we (as a society) would grow. The Political Social Institution is one of the three Primary Institutions. With society being ran by a higher authority, and not by the "norms", it is considered only natural to follow the authorities orders.

The Political Structure that takes place in a society is often construed as being chosen by the followers, much like a democracy, when in fact it is hardly ever the case. With society focused on its own growth and maturity, sometimes we neglect the power of the individuals in charge, and only see a false image of our government. With that being said, it is that very reason that the Political Institution is considered a primary one. We (society) would like to think of the government and the political structure as being cooperative and convenient at its disposal, but the truth of the matter is that often the imperfections of our society are much related to the government that we "chose". The Family Social Institution is a Secondary Institution. Because of "Family Life" being much a part of "today's society" and also a way of living, it can be said that this type of lifestyle is undoubtedly a reason for planning right.

Society created a "norm" when dealing with adult life. It is considered normal to have a family and a home when you arrive at a particular stage in your life. Much of what we live for is that very lifestyle, and much of our dedication is to have a "Family". That is why in our society, we see billboards advertising vacations with "The Family", or certain cars that the whole "Family" will enjoy. The Families place within the social structure is there due to involvement in our everyday life, and the experiences we sometimes take for granted. The Educational Social Institution is a Secondary Social Institution.

Education in our society is mandatory in order for growth and understanding. When looking at education and society from a distance, you can see the correlation between the two. As a particular society grows, you will notice the intellect grow, or vice versa. Society is always in need of wealth and maturity, but without the education through learning and teaching, there would be a standstill or decline in both the two. We seem to forget how much we (society) can build upon ourselves, by educating each other.

Every institution relies on each other; therefore the Political Institution would be in serious trouble if it weren't for education being one of main priorities and reforms. That is a good example of how much society as a whole depends on the further education of our its people. The Religion Institution is a Secondary Institution. Religion has always had a high place within society, seeing as how much of the world fights just for the ability to pray. As the Religious Institution seems to be weakening within the United States, it only continues to grow within other societies worldwide. With wars being fought, and much literature being created particularly for the religious eyes, it is no guess why religion projects itself as a predecessor throughout time.

We (society) have created a basis for what we think is "norm", with much of that dealing with religion and Christianity. The Sports Institution is a secondary Institution. Sports play a major role in the U.S. (as well as others) society. With TV channels specifically devoted to the viewing pleasure of every sports fan, and even special "sports gatherings" in which society holds close to its founding roots. Sports play a big role in bringing society together, even at the worst of times. The heroics of an athlete can lead to the societies eyes upon him / her, while the deconstruction of another; lead to the disgust of a society.

As simple as can be said, society creates entertainment for all to watch, and gives reasons to justify some of the most outrageous events in all shapes and forms. The Law Social Institution is a Secondary Social Institution. Law circumferences a great deal of the world, as we know it. With laws being created and broken everyday, in every society, we should all understand its foundation as in institution. The way a particular society works well with laws, is to how well the societies individuals follow those laws. Laws are created to control society, or keep the "norms" from any imperfections.

If laws were not in order, there would be a lack of control and discipline, leaving the society in shambles over its struggle for justice. The Medical Institution is a Secondary Social Institution. With medicine being very relevant to how a society stays healthy and manages to overcome certain issues, it is noticeable how medicine is needed to help survive. The medicine a society has, can help stabilize it, and help from being destroyed by natural problems, as well as display the ability we have to protect ourselves.

Societies more often then none, look at each other and comparing what he / she has as compared to themselves. As for societies who do not have the benefits of recent medicine, they are looked at as the outcasts and UN-stabilized. The Mass Media Social Institution is a Secondary Social Institution. The power of media, any sort, or any kind; is undeniable. Within a culture, or society, everyone has at one time or another been faced with some time of advertisement, or propaganda.

It's stunning at how much we fall into a trap when dealing with the media's influence on a society's particular way of thinking.
