EMINEM The music business, how eminem got into the music business from his hard times living at home with his mother who was suffering from Munchausen Syndrome which means she was making Marshall (Eminem) take medicines he didnt need. First i will talk about eminem's life when he was a kid and his relationship with his mother and uncle Ronnie. Eminems father left him when he was only 6 months old and his mother was sick and sort of retarded. Eminem was often left with his relative and he became really close with his uncle Ronnie who was about the same age as he was, they became best friends. At the age of 13 eminem started writing his own lyrics and recording his own raps. That is when he chose his nickname M&M and than later changed it to Eminem.

He began hustling money at school by rap battling. This was great for him because he started rapping seriously and wrote his lyrics and he got to know how other people think and how other people write their lyrics and he learn about all those peoples points of view and where they come from. He than attends lincoln high school from 1986 to 1989 where he met his high school sweetheart and soon to be his future wife Kim Scott. That is when he formed his first rap group Bassi ment productions. He dropped out of school at age 17 after failing 9th grade 3 times. He than starts performing at open mic nights for a local radio station.

This was great for his career because it was the first time he could get noticed by producers and other people that can help him out with his career. This was another way for him to get his name to the public. If eminem he just sat at home and dream about being a big rapper it wasnt going to happen, but he worked for it he went out there he put his name out. It was like he was his own personal manager and he hyped himself to everyone and he put his name out so people can know who he is.

He was told that he was pretty good for a white guy. This is when eminem decides that he wants to make rapping his career. In the summer of 92 Ronnie visits eminem in detroit and eminem tells Ronnie all about his dreams and how he wants to become a big rapper. Ronnie tells eminem that he wont make it and to just give up but eminem was deter mind to make it.

Eminem starts rapping at Detroit biggest night club Saint Andrews the first time he go onto the stage he was blood off but he didnt quit he kept going back every and rapping. Eminem was soon invited to rap at detroit's biggest radio station WHAT. This was also great for his career because he got a taste of how hard rapping in front of a lot of people is and that not everyone is going to like him. This was another way to get his name out into the public and get noticed by someone. When eminem's first cd came out called Infiniti it was just like a and he was just trying to see how he wanted his rapping style to be. Right from the beginning he was already being compared to Naz and Jay Z. Eminem was hurt by the response that Infiniti got and he later began working on the Slim Shady EP.

By presenting himself as himself eminem's rap career took off. January of 97 Slim Shady was born, Slim Shady was eminem's alter ego. After 10 months of performing at underground night clubs he was invited to the 97 rap olympics in Los Angeles. Battling for first place for 6 rounds and than looses to Juice. Even though he was in 2nd place he gets noticed by a producer Dr. Dre. Dr. Dre immediately takes to liking eminem and signs him to his label, Aftermath Records.

Within a week eminem gets to work on his album. On Feb. 23, 1999, The Slim Shady LP released. The album debuts at number 2 on the Billboard charts. He wins Grammy Awards for it and also the MTV awards: Best New Artist, Best Solo Hip Hop Act, and Best Rap Performance. This album goes multi-platinum. In September of 1999, Interscope Records gives Eminem his own record label...

Shady Records. Eminem and Kim get remarried, and buys a large home for all of them. In April of 1999, Rolling Stone does a front page article on him where he talks about his childhood. Eminem than later got his own record label Shady records. Eminem made a couple albums with his friends and group members D 12. Later eminem met up with obi e trice and produced songs for Obie Trice and brought out his album Cheers.

Eminem later on signed rap star 50 cent and now 50 cent has his own label G unit records and eminem is making money off all of 50 cents sales. Eminems label is now one of the biggest and the most well known label out. It was good for him to sign 50 cent because now 50 cents records label has artists Young Buck, Lloyd Banks, Ya Yo and of coarse 50 cent him self. And off of all the sales from Bucks album n Banks album 50 cent gets money and Eminem gets money from 50 cent. I think the reason why Eminem made it so big is because he was deter mind to make it and he went out there, he brought it name out.

He went to underground rap contests and night clubs to try to make people notice him and it paid off when Dr. Dre noticed him and Dre hyped Eminem to other people saying things like from the first time i saw him i knew he had talent i just had to sign him. The song that Dr. Dre heard was " My name is" from his first album. Dre knew that if he sign eminem he was going to be a big artist and he was going to be better than everyone. In my opinion eminem is the best rapper right now, And one of the most hard working. He had a movie called 8 mile which was like a story of his life and it was about a guy named Rabbit who wanted to be a rapper and he would go to under ground rap contests and perform and he wanted to make some money to get studio time and record his album. The year that 8 mile came out eminem made 28 million dall ors that year.

He was 1st place in the count down of who made the most money that year. And now he has his own label and his even making more money because of the sales of the other artists in label. Eminem is known as the most talented rapper / producer out right now. Eminem came from a old broken down house and broke down family he grew up with no father and hardly even was with his mother and when he was it was always fighting and arguing and his mom made him take medicines he didnt need. Eminem came from moving around d roping out of high school and dreaming to be a rapper to now being the biggest rapper. He did this by working hard and not just sitting at home and dreaming of being a rapper he went out and did something about it.

I know a lot of people that want to be rappers but they dont try to get there name out to the public they just sit at home write songs record them on there computer and send them to there friends like that's going to change anything. Instead of trying to get studio time or going to clubs and other places and asking if they can perform and do gigs. Thats the way eminem did it, he went to underground clubs, rap contests, radio stations trying to get people to notice him and hoping that som one important notices him and it happened. Eminem was and is a deter mind to be the best he can be. His not like those commercial rappers that only rap about cars diamonds and girls but he raps about his life and things his been through.

I think the reason a lot of people like eminem is because he raps about things everyone can relate to, not everyone can relate to having a lot of cars and being rich after awhile of listening to songs like that you get tired of it. But eminem's lyrics are deep and i think a lot of kids out there can relate to eminem's lyrics. That is how eminem got into the business and made is way all the way up to the top.
