End Of The Story Romeo And Juliet example essay topic

In the novel To Kill a Mockingbird, by Harper Lee, Atticus the main character is like Romeo, in Romeo and Juliet, in the way that they are both true heroes in the end. In the book Atticus describes a true hero, even though he would never admit he is really describing himself. Romeo thoroughly fits this description as well, for in the beginning of his relationship with Juliet he knew they were of two different backgrounds never meant to cross yet he still loved her till the end. He never gave up not even in the end, for they were together even when they took their last breaths, which in a way is how Romeo did indeed win. When Romeo and Juliet first met they had no idea of what lay ahead for their future.

Yet when they found out that Romeo was a Montague and Juliet a Capulet, their love for each other only grew stronger. Romeo never doubted their relationship, finding any way he could to make it last. He was determined to be with Juliet until the end, which is just what happened. Atticus would certainly agree that Romeo was a true hero of his time even though 'you know you " re liked before you begin but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what. ' Romeo was determined to be with Juliet from the beginning and saw it happen until the end. As for Atticus he was faced with a trial that already had a verdict even before it began.

An African- American man had been charged with the raping of a young white woman. During this time in history any African-American didn't even stand a chance up against an all white jury, yet seeing the odds Atticus when ahead and became the lawyer for this man; knowing he was putting his reputation, respect and even his life in jeopardy. Even though the conditions for Romeo were not favorable he still loved and cherished Juliet as if they were able to be together. They were in love and nothing was going to separate them, not even death. During the trial Atticus knew that he was never going to win the case, but he kept going no matter what. He never let the other people's opinions and rude remarks get the best of him.

He and Romeo both went on their paths, following them wherever it may take them. This determination not matter what the odds are really shows true bravery and courage. A true hero never gives up no matter what the situation may be or lead to. In the end of the story Romeo and Juliet are both found dead lying next to each other. They died in love together and were determined never to part not even in death. This is really how he won in way since all he ever wanted was to be with her always and forever and that was what he got.

In Atticus' place Tom Robinson was found guilty and was put in prison, despite all the evidence that clearly showed he was innocent. While trying to escape prison one night he was caught and shot and killed. This makes the father of the raped girl mad that Atticus made a fool of him so he decides to torment his children one night but Boo Radley was out and saved them. This was good because in the end Atticus won for his children finally embrace their father's advice, in turn learning a life lesson. As you can see these two characters are truly genuine heroes by going against all the odds and still winning in the end.

They not only followed their dreams and goals, but they also won by gaining character and knowledge. I think that Atticus would have definitely thought that Romeo was a hero since he generously filled the requirements for a hero.
