Equal Rights Amendment example essay topic
Ironically, many feminists opposed the amendment. Since both men and women would have equal rights, women would be able to be drafted in a wartime scenario. I am not for women being drafted into the military, but if women truly did want equal rights, they would accept this. Freedom not only means the gaining of rights, but the gaining of rights and responsibilities that come with these rights.
This may be why in countries around the world, you rarely see a woman run for president, governor or another similar high office, but see them run more for positions like Congress or other less important roles. These positions would give women a greater ability to do things, yet would not have as much responsibility as a president or governor. Women also have the desire to show their creativeness, more so than men. Males will almost never use non-blue or black pens when taking notes or writing assignments. Highlighters seem to be used more by females than males. For this, there is good reason.
Studies have shown that more information is retained when using a highlighter or colored pen when reading for business or school. Women also tend to decorate more than men, especially with seasonal decorations. Women also want at least one person they can talk to in confidence. They want someone who will listen to them without giving suggestions on how to fix the problem, like many men do.
While men try to forget their problems by doing something else, women must talk about them to someone else. In a relationship, women want a man who is good looking (based on society's view of a good man), that will take charge when needed, but will also worship and cherish the woman in every way. The man should be ready to listen and please the woman at every moment. If not, verbal violence begins. In reality, no man really knows what women want.
If men did know the secret (meaning of life), this world might be a better place. If women in reality wanted everything like some men think they do, this world could only be better for half of the 6 billion people living on Earth. It is easier to assemble the towers of Hanoi, or build a bridge across the Pacific Ocean than to figure out what women really want. A forgotten prophesy that never got in the book of Revelation: Once men know what women want, it will rain for 1000 straight days, killing us all - The author of the essay.
