Example The English Students example essay topic
For example there was a group a Chinese, Thai, Arabs, Europeans etc... I soon observed that they didnt have much communication between them, but this depended on each group, it was more likely that a Thai group would communicate with the Chinese group than a Thai group with a European group. There was a constant in grump talk, and they would never speak english if they were more than two of them, in many times i tried to take part in a conversation between them for example at dinner times, but they would never speak in your language. The thing that surprised me most was that when they were on their own they were really nice to speak to and they opened up quit a bit. The problem was when a few got together, they were noy bad, but they simply didnt make an effort for you to participate in their conversations. Another important aspect that occurred in the school, was how some nationalities looked down to others, in other words that some people felt superior to others, this was another barrier for communication within the students of the school.
For example the English students, constantly looked down on the Asian students and when there was some type of communication it was always in a down word talk tone. I never understood the reason for this attitude between students from different countries. On the other hand I must say it was not always negative encounters, there was also positive encounters, for example my room mate was a Korean and i learned a great deal of things of that culture which in a way made me widen my mind in many senses. A curious thing about them was that they would never look at a teacher to their eyes since this was considered to be very rude in their culture, they would always look down to a teacher. There were many more things that i found extremely interesting and may be very useful in a future..
