Corruption. I think corruption as an evil disease of modern society, its reach is beyond imagination, as many readings about it tend to say. I personally have experienced it in my own country, and to me it is unfortunately what moves a good percentage of a bad economic life in many countries. Why exists? I think is the result of a bad distribution of wealth and obviously has to be with human nature, but this is a simple way to answer, the problem is here now and is a big one to the world in general.

Why is wrong to me? Well, its wrong because it produces violation of human rights affecting the quality of life of many people (specially the poorest) around the globe, as for globalization, the corruption destroys nations and companies trust into enter in a region or country, where they don't think will be treat as equal as others, putting high risk in their potential investments. This situation prevents FDI in some countries and consequently the possible benefits along with it for those countries. This is not me saying that corruption only exists in poor countries, it has been seen in world giant economies as those in EU and USA. The EU surely has to care about this disease as long as EU is trying to incorporate new western European countries where corruption is becoming a problem, that has to be resolved before they entered in the EU in 2004. So the problem is wide spread and has to be confront as a global problem too, with the inconvenient of not having an organism acting as a global police in order to defend and watch the rights of companies or people in the world To attack this disease it's a not easy job, and there is not an easy answer, the work doing by some NGO's and human rights organizations, by some intellectual people, and in general by the society can have an important impact in get this under some kind of control.
