Just a few months ago, I got wind of a Greaser getting his head beaten in by a bunch of Socs. Just a few weeks ago, the same kid got attacked again, and was forced to kill a Soc. This immediately gave all of us Greasers a bad rep. I mean the kid had to run away, just so the fuzz wouldn't have brought him in.
It worked out for the better though, because him, Johnny Cade, and his two pals Pony boy Curtis (serious, this is his real name! ), and real bad boy Dally Winston, managed to save a bunch of little kids from being killed in a fire. We all thought it was about over, when the Greasers and Social decided to settle their dispute. We set a rumble, and stomped those Socs good. I'm about to get kinda philosophical with you, so bear with me. Some of those guys fought so furiously, and with so much vengeance in their eyes, you could tell they were going to win from the start. Later, I learned why.
That kid, Johnny Cade, had been badly hurt saving those kids. He had died shortly after the rumble. I say, that this has gone on long enough. IT is time to end it, and frankly, I don't care how. It's been an eventful few weeks, but hopefully now we can have some peace. For a little while.
