Learning a second language is especially important nowadays to achieve something in our modern society. There are so many languages and so many countries in the world now. Because of that we have had much conflict. We live in a pluralistic society, one in which a multicultural education provides the tools necessary for effective and international communication.

Today the boundaries between countries are dissolving because of the world Trade. The political and economical relationships require the knowledge of a foreign language and the traditions of partners. A very good example of my words is The Tower of Babylon. At first, the people of the world had only one language. One day the people decided to build a high tower at Babylon to reach the sky. The LORD saw what they were going to do; he mixed up their languages so that they were not able to understand each other.

The pride of our ancestors makes us learn foreign languages to build our own Babylon Tower in different spheres of life. A person who knows a foreign language has a wide selection of career fields to choose from. He is considered to be literate and well educated. The cultural aspect plays not the last role. People over the world are interested in foreign theater and cinematography, literature and poetry. You have to read it in original to feel the gentle and pure words of love. And it is very difficult to communicate with foreign people. But, on the other hand, thanks to this variety, we can develop ourselves. There are many different people so that there are many senses of value, opinions and ideas. So we can exchange our opinions, complement each other and make something better.
