Four American Airplanes example essay topic

361 words
If I could have one dream for America, I would want to end all of the terrorism. When there is terrorism, the nation doesn't feel free to do things we normally do in life, because we always have to worry about the terrorists coming to hurt, or do something to inflict pain on our country. Terrorism has affected people that live in the United States, and people in other countries. On September 11, 2001, nineteen members of Al Queda, a large group of men who volunteered to fight for religious beliefs, hijacked four American airplanes. Those nineteen members of Al Queda crashed one of the airplanes into the Pentagon and two of them into the World Trade Center in New York. One of the four airplanes was hijacked and was taken over by passengers on the airplane so the terrorists wouldn't crash it into the White House.

The passengers on the airplane knew that they were trying to hit the White House. There were more than 3,000 American people killed on September 11, 2001. That is the most number of people killed in America in one day since the Civil War. People all over the world were very scared after the attacks on September 11th to fly places, until they secured the airports more. They stayed in their homes, worrying about their families, friends, coworkers and neighbors. Many people from our country and other countries were affected by the attack on America.

It is hard for kids my age to understand why someone would want to do something so terrible to our nation. It doesn't matter why they did it; I just know I wish I could have stopped it before so many people were hurt. I know that if I could end terrorism all by myself, I would. I would try to end terrorism by going to schools and churches and talking to kids and adults about how important it is to have peace in the world. I would learn more about our Government and what it would take to help end all terrorism.
