Characters Scientist 1 Name: Albert Albert is essentially the leader of the group of troubled scientists. Although he does not create the idea he builds on it and implements it. Taller than the other characters, he is of a higher status. Scientist 2 Name: Harry Harry always appears to be in a reverie and though he plays a large part in the bombing etc, he never seems to comprehend understand, the destruction they have / will cause. Over the course of the play he proves to be quite psychotic, licentious and flippant. Scientist 3 Name: ErkleErkle is the 'real brains' behind the entire plot.
He is an ideas man, coming across as quite and withdrawn, when inn actual fact he is the truly evil, proving deadly. He is often bossed by both the two other scientists, but appears not to let this hurt him. Girl 1 Name: Mary-Beth The oldest of the 5 girls Mary-Beth is inquisitive and outgoing. She has a rebellious streak that eventually leads her to break rules and regulations, hence leading to ultimate doom. As the oldest she is also in charge of the younger, smaller girls, and though she is bossy towards them she remains 'fair'.
Girl 2 Name: Sophia is smart, good-looking and reserved, quite perfect in fact! Girl 3 Name: Judy Judy is basically a clone of Sophia, smart, good-looking and reserved. Regardless of their similarities, tension between these two characters is shown. Girl 4 Name: Daphne Daphne is ironically an imitation of the "true blonde", dazed and confused for a large portion of the day.
Girl 5 Name: Madeline Madeline is the youngest of the 5 girls and as with Mary-Beth she is inquisitive and appears to fear the world around her. She also has a bossy streak but being the youngest and the smallest she finds it hard to find anyone to boss around. Other characters undertaking more minor roles also include work colleagues of the crazy scientists such as 'Cindy' who, in their eyes is the perfect woman..
