According to J.H. Mittel man, "globalization means a historical transformation in economy and cultural diversity. Globalization is the idea of making the world act like a huge country. Globalization affects this world and the people in this world in many ways. Globalization affects the economy status of a country. It has indeed weakened the position of poor countries and exposed poor people to harmful competition.

Globalization is the strategy of liberation that becomes an economic nightmare for the poor. The poor countries disintegrate and worsen via trade and investments. Even if the world co-operates and acts as one country, the richer always gets to say what happens. For example, United States is a country that is one of the richest in this world. They influence globalization to their own advantage, harming the economic and cultural issues of the rest of the world. They might be concerned about some countries, but not most of them.

For example, the Saharan countries is mid-Africa is not getting any attention from the "giants" of this world. Poverty is increasing which proves that globalization has become a dominant factor in producing poverty. The effects of globalization leading to poverty maybe due to competition among different workers or foreign investment. Workers from different viewpoint of the world are different. If they compete against each other, surely the workers with more facilities, which are from the rich countries, will be advancing. Therefore, my point is, poor people is going to get less advantages if the world becomes a global village.

Poor countries should be able to have their own freedom of choices. They should be allowed to be a big part of this world too. The next problem that globalization possess is about women's rights. Many women are being neglected throughout the world today.

Globalization affects different groups of women in different ways. Globalization might worsen gender inequalities. I may even harm women in several ways. Politically, through prohibiting them from the domestic political process; and culturally, through the loss of identity and self-sufficiency in global culture. Gender inequality influences both the causes and consequences of poverty. Globalization plays an important role in diminishing cultural diversity.

Since all the people in the world have to act as whole country working together, there will surely be cultural mixtures. Cultural flows occur differently in different spheres and may originate in many places. A person does not want his culture to be a part of another culture. He wants his culture to be unique in a way. Therefore, a person should agree in the fact that globalization will do harm to their cultures. Cultural mixtures also destroy other cultures in the way of changing lifestyles.

Western ideals are falsely established as the "universal" culture. We do not want this to happen, do we? No. We want to keep our local cultures alive as well.

Under globalization, people tend to be more monoculture than to be multicultural. Therefore, we must work together and try not to blend our cultures with other cultures. Globalist are against what I just talked about. They think that globalization does not cause any cultural diversity. However, as I proved here, many cultural changes occur as globalization spreads all over the world. Globalist also might be against the fact that poverty is increasing.

However, look at the other countries, the poor ones. Are they getting any attention that they deserve to get? They have the right to express themselves, but who listens to them? So, all this brings us to a question. Can globalization be controlled?

The issue of controlling globalization concerns officials of states and intergovernmental organizations. They often sense that the current push of globalization might be irreversible and out of anyone's control. The word lacks a set of rules that helps to regulate transnational behavior. Globalization also brings technological advances. With the advent of new technology, people have benefited in many ways. Humanity has advanced in technology.

Now, the world has robots, spacecraft, and many other helpful inventions. Nevertheless, the question remains: Did the poor countries get these technologies? No. Have you seen any robot or any technological advances in Somalia? Of course not. Those countries are still being neglected.

In conclusion, I would like to state that globalization should not be practiced if the right steps are not taken. By globalizing, a form of false consciousness arises that prevents people from seeing their true interests. Globalization polarizes the globe and therefore creates an even more unjust world. It mainly goes against the poor and brings on more poverty. We should definitely keep an eye on our political and economical issues as well. What we do in our global village will surely influence the future of the economic world.
