God From The Public Schools example essay topic
It does not matter what it may do to another person or how it may even affect you in the long run. The government has had the issue of legalizing marijuana but how dare we think about getting rid of the separation of church and state. Many people act as if God is something so horrible. When if fact God is the whole reason that we are here.
Without God we would be nothing. In the video, "The ACLU vs. Judge Roy Moore" Judge Moore stated something that really touched me, he said, "We are free to believe what we want to believe but it does not change the basis upon laws on which this nation was founded. What Judge Moore is saying is that this country was founded on the principle of God and God should always be the basis and the foundation to build upon. I believe that no matter what if you have not started out a foundation with God in your own personal life you will not be happy and successful throughout your life. You will at sometime realize that no matter what you will need a foundation built upon God. Philippians 4: 4 states, "Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say, Rejoice.
John 15: 13 says", Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends". This shows what God did for us and the fact that in return the least we can do is try to live like he would. Everyone makes mistakes but if the blood of God washes you those sins are forgotten. God is not something to be afraid of. God is something amazing that can change your whole life. There is one sentence that always sticks in my head when I have a problem or I may be afraid to trust in God.
The fact that, "When you pray to God for something, he will give you more than you ask for". Can you believe that God knows every hair on our head and when we lose one he knows. Do you possibly think that there is someone who cares more or as much as God does for us? I believe not. God has been there for me personally when no one else has. When I have been hurt or let down and I feel as if the whole world was against me, God is right there waiting for me with his arms open wide.
John 3: 16 states, "for God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting love". God is that awesome that he gave up his son so that we could be forgiven of our sins. The Governor of Alabama once stated", I don't care what they say in Washington, we are going to keep right on praying and reading the Bible in the public schools of Alabama". This shows me how deep of a faith he has and that he knows how important God can be in a school. Without God we are nothing. Conservative activist Phyllis Schafly believes that the Supreme Court has banished God from the public schools.
She says", [the] right to pray in public schools... was taken away from the American people by the U.S. Supreme Court 20 years ago... The U.S. Supreme Court overturned centuries of law, custom, tradition, and educational practice when it censored pray and Bible reading out of the public schools... ". I will continue to pray and put my faith in God that this country will find God once again.
Hopefully we will then see less school shootings, students killing themselves, and many of the other immoral things that seem to happen more and more everyday throughout America. I have faith that with prayer and acknowledgement of God we the people can take a turn for the better. John 15: 6, "If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned". Just remember that if you have not found God you really should find him, he will bless your life beyond belief..
