My thoughts on gun control are, , well, , gun control is out of control!! The ignorant citizens of this society who support and push for more constraining GUN CONTROL LAWS have no idea of what GUN CONTROL is!! Paul Harvey sums up THE TRUTH ABOUT GUN CONTROL. Everyone should read this article and remember history, , all of history. Remember how this nation was born, how TEXAS was liberated (by armed citizens)!!

Never forget how ruthless dictators and governments sacrificed and massacred their unarmed citizens! Those who support further gun control may say that guns can be acquired and used to commit murder, burglary and so-on (all of which are against the law now). Only our GOVERNMENT should have guns... I pity those ignorant citizens who are so willing to place such trust and MY future protection and well-being sony in the hands of this government. How quickly our society has forgot, , that it was OUR government that, , in the birth of the atomic age, knowingly, willingly and intentionally subjected a rather large number of this nations citizens to the fallout of those blast to use and study them as human guinea pigs! (only in the recent past did this government admit to such atrocity and paid the survivors and their heirs restitution).

AND the list of such atrocities inflicted by our government goes on!! For those of you who think I'm an anti-government whacko, well, nope, your wrong. I'm an easy going law abiding citizen who supports this government, the Constitution, BILL Of RIGHTS and I pay taxes. I think the whacko people are the ignorant radicals who support ridiculous gun control laws and so disrespect and IGNORE the BILL OF RIGHTS. I just am not willing to completely place my trust, well being, protection and safety to the government. Now to the reality of Paul Harvey and the truth about gun control.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated. Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, 13 million Jews, Catholics, gypsies, homosexuals, the mentally ill, and others, who were unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated. China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated. Guatemala established gun control in 1964.

From 1964 to 1981,100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated. Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979,300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated. Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1957 to 1977, one million "educated" people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated. ## That places total victims who lost their lives because of gun control at approximately 56 million in the last century.

Since we should learn from the mistakes of history, the next time someone talks in favor of gun control, find out which group of citizens they wish to have exterminated. ( (Maybe they " ll use the immortal words "it won't happen to me". ) (I don't think of myself as being immortal) ) It has now been 12 months (from the date of Paul's Broadcast) since gun owners in Australia were forced to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed, a program costing the government more than $500 million dollars! The results; ; Australia-wide: Homicides are up 3.2%, assaults are up 8%, and Armed robberies are up 44%.

In that country's state of Victoria, homicides with firearms are up 300%. Over the previous 25 years, figures were showing a steady decrease in armed robberies and Australian politicians are on the spot and at a loss to explain how no improvement in "safety" has been observed after such a monumental effort and expense was expended in ridding society of guns". It's time to state it plainly; Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, GUN CONTROL laws only affect the law-abiding citizens". End of comment. Let me also state it plainly. "If, as a law abiding citizen, you don't want to own a gun, and do not wish to exercise your right to own a gun, that's fine with me!!

BUT DON'T FORGET that is your right to do that! !" As a law abiding citizen it's my RIGHT to own guns, as many guns as I want or can afford and all the ammunition I want or can afford. It's my right to use my gun and enjoy legal recreational shooting and also to protect myself and my family from the those who choose not to abide by the law. Some of you may not like it, TOUGH, cause there are lots of things other folks choose to do that I don't like. BUT, , don't forget, this is America, , "Home of the free... ".

If you don't like that freedom move to Russia or maybe Mexico and enjoy there peaceful society where Gun Control is under control, the control of the drug smugglers and mafia.
