My English Classmates There are many people in this world who hold great reputations. There are far fewer people who possess great character. Reputations are built in just moments, and reflect what you do in front of people. Character, on the other hand, is built over years, and reflects what is unseen by others. Of all of my classmates in English class, three exemplifies great characters more than any of the others. Their name is Stephanie, Tameka, and Jamie.

After reading through their profiles, it seems that each person has chosen their own way but has met at one point in their lives. Everyone has an idea of what they want to accomplish in college and life and each has a means to reach their goal. Stephanie Wester field was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She's 19 years old and has 3 sisters. She's the oldest, her sister Angelia is 18 years old, and Heather and Jennifer are twins. Stephanie had been going to Houston Community College for two years, but has only attended 3 semesters.

What causes her to struggle most in school is her family. Her parents were married for 20 years and are recently divorced. She and her sisters all live with her mother, therefore, she had to skip a few semesters of school to help her mother with her sisters. Everything is going well with her sister and mom now, so she can focus more on school. Her goal is to finish school and become a nurse before the age of 25.

Tameka Simon was born and raised in Jacksonville, Texas. She's 27 years old and has been married for 2 years since high school. She moved to Houston two years ago and has a one year old daughter named My cah, who was born on New Years day 2002. She has 2 sisters, and one brother. They all think that they can only have girls because she has four nieces and a daughter of her own. Her mother is still hoping for a grandson and thinking maybe she will give her one, and Tameka still wants to have two more kids.

Tameka had been in college at Houston Community College for two years. She's going to transfer to North Harris Community College next semester because she was not aware of the out of district fees. Her goal is to graduate from college and have a teaching certificate. She likes to teach from Pre-K through second grade levels and have another baby about year later. Rachel Rigby is the last of the three classmates. She was born in West Columbia and moved to Houston four years ago.

She is now 24 years old and the older of two daughters. Her sister is 20 years old and her best friend. Her family has struggle a bit after her dad suffered a stroke but they are all happy now. Her mom and sister still lives in West Columbia to take care of her dad, since he is paralyzed from the neck down after his stroke. Rachel lives with her boyfriend, Trey, and they have recently bought a piece of land here in Houston. Rachel and Trey have been childhood friends and she hopes to make their dreams come true when they get marry.

Her goal is to get a degree and open up a gift-shop. In conclusion, there are some people who become successful in this life because they are destined to. But most people become successful in this life because they are determined to. I want to say that all life isn't much successful as most of people think. Even though there are those people in our life who trust more than everything to help us succeed, it's important not to forget that "success" can turn into "failure". Maybe that's why we ought to be strong and patient and never give up in our lives.
