I will explain how and what Iago do to achieve what he most wanted. Othello. One of many plays that had the true phase of anger, love, and Jealousy. It starts with a Roderigo and Iago. Roderigo is Iago's true loyal partner. The being is that Roderigo loves Desdemona wife of Othello whom is the lord.
Iago tells Roderigo that he can get him close to Desdemona for exchange to be his friend and help him out with plans of favors of some sort. Therefore, as you know Roderigo is willing to obey him just to reach their goals. They start by trying to break the relationship of Othello and Desdemona. In doing so, he would use his wife Emilia. As he sees, his plans are going well he then sends her to steal a gift from Desdemona Giving by Othello who also was giving to him by his mother who passed away. Before his wife passed on he was told that the scarf holds powers within to attract loved in the people.
The true is that is supposed to keep the person close to the women. Mendoza 2 Meaning that the person would always faithful to her no matter what. Well the great evil villain Iago use his amazing plans to achieve his goal. That goal that his trying to accomplished with out being caught. Is to achieve revenge to Othello for taking what he most wanted. That would have to be the promotion to a higher level.
When instead his promotion when on to someone else. This all started when a person named Cassio. Was promoted to lieutenant instead of him as he thought. The reason Iago feels like it should have been he who would have been promoted to a higher rank is the following Iago has been trough battles and combats.
As for the other person (Cassio) has never been to battle. He has only study and read. Cassio has no experience in fighting, he has never fought in his life yet he was still promoted higher than Iago. A great villain like Iago would have done the same thing ruin other people lives, because a man like him has no mercy will do to accomplished his desires and goals. Othello then gives Iago his full trust because of his brainwashing from Iago. "Or to be naked with her friend in bed an hour or more not meaning any harm?
Those words came from only one-person yes Iago; they were said for Othello to think that his wife Desdemona was cheating on him. The thing that really trough him off was the words that Desdemona told him, that to be careful because Desdemona did deceive his own father as well as she might to the same thing to him. Othello kept thinking that Iago might be right about everything, as time went by the villain kept doing was his best at. Othello's jealousy kept getting worst. Well the wife Emilia is actually a nice person in a some way she does have a good heart but I guess not enough. She may have been good but why go on and take something that is not even hers. I guess most most people do what ever their partner wants just to make them happy and proud that hey can count on them. Emilia love his husband Iago but he did not really put much attention to her, he just tough about himself more than her. Trying to reach to reach their goal even tough they get their alone but he got there that is what really counts I would say that that's how someone like him will say.
What then happens is that Emilia only stole the handkerchief to make Iago happy, what she didn't know is the real reason why Iago wanted it. He never told her the truth so it stood like that she did not know and he did not tell her. Well as the play kept going every kept going to plan. Iago and Othello have another encounter they now are talking about the man who more involved than he thinks but has no idea what is going on Cassio. Iago tells Othello that he can get more proof about Cassio and his wife. He tells Othello to hide as Cassio is walking in he and Iago start talking about how things going with him and his mistress (Bianca) he starts to tell him that she just slot and that his not taking her seriously.
Keep in mind Othello can hear a little bit of the conversation but can see them clearly. Everything went well for Iago, when Othello believed him was he took out the handkerchief, he was shock as he realizes that it was true when in fact it wasn't. He then leaves the room and Othello comes out and said how much he love her and how can she do this to him, he feels so Mendoza 4 deceive about the whole thing. Othello a nice and loveable person turns the opposite Iago had now corrupt him to much he doesn't know himself anymore. Iago next plan is to get him to kill Desdemona as he agrees to kill Cassio if Othello kill Desdemona.
Therefore, they came to an arrangement about the whole thing. Iago is not thinking of getting his hands dirty in this mess so send Roderigo to do this dirty work. Well what really was supposed to happen was that Othello would be in Desdemona getting ready to do what he is supposed to do. Othello's signal to kill Desdemona is when he hears a scream.
As Roderigo enters, the room to sneak up on Cassio as he had agreed to do it to get him close to Desdemona. He strikes his sword but misses him and Cassio attacks him back leaving him injure on the floor hoping Iago will help him kill him, but as every evil villain would do anything to take out what can hold them back from what they want most he turns against Roderigo. Iago was seemed as if he went to help with the intruder, which in fact was his partner. "O I am slain" where the Last words of Roderigo. Othello now heard his signal he goes on with the plan. Desdemona wakes up and ask what is he doing he tells why have she been cheating On him when she know he loves her to death, she tells the truth that she only loves Him.
Nevertheless, Othello's corrupted mind does no pay any attention to any of Those because he is really convince that she been sleeping with Cassio but she tells Him she only loves him. Othello started to strangle her with a rage and anger towards her but at the same time hurt because he still loves her but is ashamed how far someone goes to get revenge. Emilia try to stop the whole once she found out the Mendoza 5 Truth so she felt guilty for what she has done because she was part of it. She then explain Othello the truth about everything that the whole thing was a lie while Iago been there. Iago stabs Emilia while saying "villainous whore!" he runs off that then later gets caught and get thrown to jail, as for Othello he couldn't believed what he had heard so kills himself in anguish. The great villain Iago achieve some what of what he wanted but shows you the rest of the villains of the play even tough they didn't achieve what they most want, their desired they went trough little but did a lot with such simple things.
The play made Iago the main turning point because since the play started he been wanted to do harm for revenge, so is because of him the whole play came about.
