Is Abortion A Good Or Bad Thing? By: Levi XL. Abortion is a much argued subject all over the world. Many feel it is against nature and goes against all morals, while others believe it is absolutely fine and the decision should be held in the hands of the woman with the unborn baby. I am on this side as well, pro-choice. Why should any body, whoever they are have the right to decide what will happen in your life, in your family and most importantly, what will happen with your body.

By the way most of the government and officials who make abortion illegal and who make such laws are male. What the heck do they know? They will never be pregnant and will never have to go through decision like that. Yes they may have a girlfriend or wife and may be part of the decision but it isn't their body, so why can they make such laws?

Another reason why abortion may have been made illegal was from all the deaths between the late 1800's to 1973. This was because women were trying to induce their own abortions or went to untrained practitioners who used wacky instruments or didn't do the operation is a sanitary environment. These situations many times ended up in severe bleeding, cervical wounds, many infections, poisoning, shock and even gangrene. But this was 20 years ago and we now have professional doctors who train and study for many years before attempting to operate. And nowadays death is extremely rare when taken care of by a proper doctor. Only one death occurs for every 160,000 women who have legal abortions, and the cause is usually from a heart attack or from uncontrollable bleeding.

A woman's chance of dying is 10 times greater if she decides to carry the baby. Another pain in the foot for the pro-choice nation are the pro-lifers. They are the ones out in the streets with their picket signs causing a riot saying that abortion is murder. Well how do you murder something that hasn't been born yet? I agree that it is on its way to being alive and may have a heart and brain and so forth, but the fetus does not know what's going on, and isn't on it'd knees asking for its life.

Ask your self this question. Can you remember being in your mothers womb eating through a tube in your stomach and getting cozy in that small space? Of course not. Your not putting the fetus in pain and suffering, it's brain hasn't developed enough.

Hell, we can even remember any thing before two years of age. My point is that your not going to traumatize the poor thing in it's afterlife, if it even has one. If you can't handle it, get rid of it. Don't cause disorder for others decisions.

What if you had a friend or girlfriend who was raped by some redneck, or if it happened to you at the age of 16. How would you feel? Would you want this baby in your life for the rest of your life just because of that loser? You will have to feed it, cloth it, pay for its legal papers and take it to school. Now why would you put your self (or a friend) through all that just because some people say it's murder.

In the USA murder is illegal and abortion is not. If abortion was real murder is would still be illegal, although some people got their heads out of their asses and realized that it isn't, and it is fair if a woman would like to have an abortion. Some people may still be pro-life but I believe only women may have that choice to chose that side. If you get raped and want to keep that baby, fine it's your problem but don't say we didn't warn you. But if you " re a male, shut up and stop being so stubborn and macho making laws that will never be against something that you will never go through.
