Information Technologies example essay topic
The war is still not over, but the media just told us it was and decided that it wasn't going to be breaking news anymore, so less and less people are aware of the fact that the war is still going on. Maybe even the UN would have been taken more seriously, if we the people fully understood its position on this war and what the UN were and are doing in Iraq. Many prefer to be entertained than informed, so the media uses that to attract more people, the news that manages to entertain the public the most wins. Reality shows like "Big Brother " which attracts the public exactly because the public thinks that everything the see is actually happening and that no changes are made. Are actually premeditated to the details. The reason why they attract public so much is because it makes people from TV more human and closer to us, closer to make mistakes.
Most don't realize that its all simulation. With now days technology we are able to reproduce information like never before and we can't even distinguish what is the truth or were it all began from. Our human nature always asks for more information and the longer it can keep us entertained the better for the group who produced this information, that is why simulation is used so much. A part of this manipulation is how we are convinced about buying products and being consumers, just by a appealing add on the TV or radio. We buy the products for their label and the good that we were convinced it might do to us. The consequences of this blurring information is that the people can be more easily manipulated, because we believe on what we see on TV.
The people have the right to know the truth, and the best way is to hear the story from all different sources and make up your own opinion. Do not believe everything you see on TV, to rely only on your empirical knowledge is not the best way to reach truth..
