King Duncan Macbeth example essay topic
Therefore, after killing King Duncan Macbeth, the noble character, suffers from serious problems that lead him into losing the hope of living. People might say that the importance of religion to Macbeth gradually decreases to a point where he no longer refers to God in his thoughts or actions. For he had killed Macduff's wife and children for no logical reason. Moreover, Macbeth proves that he no longer has second thoughts about killing people when he says, 'From this moment The very firstling's of my heart shall be The very firstling's of my hand.
' (IV, i, 145-147). This saying contradicts him, when he first killed King Duncan, when he said, 'But wherefore could I pronounce 'Amen'? I had most need of blessing, and 'Amen " Stuck in my throat. ' (II, ii, 35-37). However, due to the fact that Macbeth knows that he is disconnected from God, it will be impossible to be reconnected to Him.
So his guilt fades away, knowing that he will end up in hell. Thus, this makes Macbeth lose hope of living at the end of the play. Although Macbeth, hesitates at the beginning to kill King Duncan. His wife, Lady Macbeth, convinces him by saying, 'What beast was't then That made you break this enterprise to me? When you durst do it, then you were a man; And, to be more than what you were, you would Be so much more the man. Nor the time nor place Did then adhere, and yet you would make both.
They have made themselves, and that their fitness now Does unmake you. ' (I, vii, 47-54). Lady Macbeth tries to encourage her husband to kill King Duncan by questioning his manhood. However, after committing the murder, Macbeth suffers from stress, worry and lack of sleep.
He is stressed about the fact that his wife is going insane. He is worried at some point that someone might get suspicious about how Macbeth got to seize the throne. Macbeth's largest worry is about him losing the throne to Banquo's sons. Moreover the pressure of his guilt does not allow him to sleep peacefully. Furthermore, as a result of his lack of sleep; Macbeth starts to think un clearly and without any logic. This all leads him to his death because at the end of the play he loses hope and stops fighting for his life.
Therefore, one of the problems Macbeth faces is losing contact with God. The other problem Macbeth faces is lack of sleep. So it can be said that the only solution to Macbeth's problems is his death. A lesson that should be learned and taught and always remembered is that being rash is not the solution to a problem; think before acting. Being rash and hasty can lead to serious problems. The lesson the reader should learn from Macbeth is to think before committing a serious felony or crime.
