Kobe Bryant example essay topic

Basketball seems to be a relatively fun sport played and watched by many. It is thought of as a fairly clean game. However, there is also a dark side to the sport, full of false accusations and half truths. An example of this, is the belief that the Los Angeles Lakers star, Kobe Bryant, has sexually assaulted a 19 year old female. I find this to be a lie. First of all, Kobe Bryant is a young and famous basketball star that can most likely get almost any girl he wants.

Therefore he would not need to sexually assault a woman. Now Kobe is married and also has a beautiful baby daughter at the moment. However, Bryant does admit to having sexual relations with the woman, but he assures that the acts were consensual and that he is innocent. That leads me to my next point which is that the woman that accused Kobe may have done it for the money. What I am trying to say is that she did have consensual relations with him, but then she might have decided to sue him to get loads of money. Some might say this belief to be ludicrous, however this happens all the time, some infamous person has interactions with a celebrity and decide to sue them for all they have got or close to it.

This seems to be the same exact scenario. Finally, Kobe Bryant seems to have a pretty clean cut reputation. Being only 24 years old, he is the NBA's youngest-ever All Star. Also he is one of the leading pitchmen in sports, with deals from such companies as McDonald's, Coca-Cola brand Sprite, and Nike. So Bryant must obviously know that if he were to assault somebody he could lose it all. The charge could end his career, as well as put an end to his ability to command lucrative endorsement deals.

So as you can see, this charge could very well ruin, as well as leave the 24 year old, NBA All Star, Kobe Bryant bankrupt whether it did or did not happen. Who knows what the outcome might prevail itself as, but I believe the charge is false. This is a lie. web.
