Launch A Rocket Into The Air example essay topic

230 words
Problem: Find how high that each cap launches the rocket, the launch speed of each cap, and whether air resistance is significant Hypothesis: Air resistance is a factor in the times. It will make it take longer to go up than to come down. Procedure: Launch a rocket into the air and record the time it takes to go up and down. Use 4 different cap sizes (low, medium, high, and super).

Do 3 trials with each cap, record the time, and average the time. Then, on the super and low caps, record the time it takes the rocket up and the time it takes it to go down. I was right that air resistance is a factor, but I was wrong because it takes longer to fall, not go up. There were a few places where errors could have occurred. We had different people pumping up the rockets, which could have had an effect on the height of the rocket. We also had different people timing the time in the air.

This could of have had an effect on the time because each person has different reflexes, and the consistency of each person is also different. I would like to do an experiment to test whether shooting it up or at an angle stays in the air longer.
