Message Board On The Rnc's Site example essay topic

DNC: To be honest, there isn't a lot I like about the DNC's website. There isn't a good deal of truely useful information (Unless I wanted to pump money into a candidate), and other than the debate schedule, there isn't anything that couldn't be found in the local newspaper. To add to the site and make it more informative, the first thing that I think they need to do is to have profiles of each candidate. They could add previous credentials and achievements, as well as back ground information on each candidate. Another nice feature would be a brief overview of where they stand on important issues. I also wish that they had a message board, one where people could post their views on a variety of political issues. I feel that that way voters could directly express their concerns directly to the democratic party, instead of wasting their feelings and suggestions at the water cooler. Would the addition of a message board make a large difference? Not likely, but It would definitely give the candidates another direct resource to use in connecting with the voters. I also wish that instead of trashing the current president (who I am no fan of, by the way), they simply made a case based on their own merits.
I feel that these changes would not only make the site more informative, but also much better for everyone involved. RNC: I like the setup of the RNC site, they make it extremely easy to access recent news and other current events that relate to the party. I also like the fact that they seem to have a few more stories that slid by the local news than the DNC did, making it a little more worthwhile to visit their site. There are improvements that can be made, the largest being the way that they point out flaws in the democratic candidates to make themselves look better. It just doesn't seem very professional, even though it seems to be the way that politicians like to do business (Democrat Debate Bingo seems like a political comedians tool instead of the government, it would be better served on a web site for Bill Mar or Dennis Miller). I also would like a message board on the RNC's site, but with the recent declining approval rating of the president, a few moderators wouldn't hurt, either.
It would be nice if they had an available outline on the president's staff and their achievements while he was in office, as well as a few of his idea's for the next term, but I don't think that it's a major problem. None.
