Middle Strand Of Hair example essay topic
Cornrows are good for your hair because they tend to encourage growth. Many people get cornrows in their hair because they last a long time, and they require no chemicals that can harm the hair. Cornrows have existed for a long time but not until recently have they become more acceptable. The end result is only limited by your imagination.
They are very versatile. Braids offer endless styles and patterns. Supplies Needed: (See Figure 1.1) 1 Pack Of Weaving Hair Blow Dryer Conditioner Gel Grease Hair Clips Hair Pins Oil Sheen Rat tail Comb Rubber Bands Shampoo Soft Brush Spray Bottle Hair Spray Safety Precautions: Remove any jewelry before beginning. Be very careful with hot tools and equipment; such as flat irons and curling irons. Consult with the client before doing any hair service. Keep all plug-in tools and equipment safely away from water.
Hair Preparation: Before you start any hair care service the hair should be properly cleaned, combed, greased, and blow-dried. Follow these steps in order, as listed below: 1. Cleaning the Hair: Shampoo the hair twice; you can do it a third time if necessary. Then dry the hair with a towel. Apply a conditioner, and leave in for 15 minutes. 2.
Combing the Hair: Use your rat tail comb to part the entire head into four sections. Gradually separate the hair so it prevents tangles through the comb-out process. After each section is separated hold each section together with a rubber band or hair clip. Un clip one section at a time, hold firmly from scalp, and start combing the hair from the ends to the roots. 3. Greasing the Scalp: apply a thin coat of grease to the entire head from roots to ends.
(I recommend coconut oil grease.) After combing and greasing the hair thoroughly re-clip the four sections of hair. Now it is time to blow dry. 4. Blow Drying the Hair: use blow dryer and comb attachment to perform the same procedures as the comb-out process. Start from the hair ends and work your way up to the scalp through out the entire head.
Blow drying makes the hair more straighter and easier to comb and style. (Remember: To much blow drying can cause damage to the hair.) Now you are ready to begin styling! Procedure: Cornrows updo with a weave ponytail is a two step process. The first you are going to begin with is the cornrows. Follow steps as listed below. 1.
Part the hair into desired number size for cornrows. (See Figure 1.2) 2. Gather three sections of hair. (See Figure 1.3) 3. You now have three stands of hair; left, middle, and right. (See Figure 1.4) 4.
Hold the strand on the left side and cross it underneath the middle strand. 5. The left strand now becomes the middle. 6. Now take the strand on your right and cross it underneath the middle strand. The right strand is in the middle.
Repeat this pattern going outside to the middle three times. 7. As you begin the fourth revolution, you will start to pick up hair. On your left, grab a section of hair that is equal to the section of hair in your hand. Bring this section and add it to the middle strand of the hair.
Then continue to cross the left strand under the middle. (See Figure 1.6) 8. Grab a section of hair from the right side and add it to the middle strand of hair. Now cross the right strand under the middle.
Continue this pattern until you finish each braid. (Tip: Keep one finger on the scalp to get a nice tight braid.) (See Figure 1.5) Now the cornrows are Done. (See Figure 1.7) The next step in the Cornrows updo with a weave ponytail process is to apply the weave ponytail. 9.
Gather all the cornrows together, add some gel to the nape area and brush the hair up to form a ponytail. (See Figure 1.8) 10. Then wrap the ponytail into a really tight bun and secure with a rubber band. (See Figure 1.9) 11.
Now you are ready to begin wrapping the weave around the bun. Secure with bobby pins. (See Figure 1.10) 12. To add a shine to the finished style add a light coat of oil sheen. (See Figure 1.11) 13. Also add a touch of hair spray to make the style last longer.
(See Figure 1.12) Conclusion:.
