Moments Of Monkey Business example essay topic

440 words
I guess all of us have thought, at one time or another, that we must be nuts. Speaking of nuts, I, m tired of monkeying around. But whose business is it anyway? Nobodies.

So I guess the theory is that life is a load of monkey business, and that is your business. That is your business. "And a dahoomers!" I hear you cry, to which I would say well there's no need to get in one a bart it! As an old friend of mine used to say; "J umma fraud si ni cyril so donee get in one!" His therapist has been fired, needless to say. But, and here's the crux, who, I say who, is to blame? Probably nobody.

That, my freinds, does not mean that it is nobodies business. Life, it was once said (by whom, eludes me for the moment) is a bad quarter of an hour made up of exquisite moments. That is paraphrasing, but I'm sure you get the gist comestible. My point here is that, if we are to think in those terms then the the exquisite moments are the monkey business. Who cannot say, with their hand on their heart, that the best times they have had, have been the ones made up of the elements of silliness, pointlessness, spontenaeity, irreverence, risk and pleasure seeking; to name but a few? In shorts, my hairy little chimps...

MONKEY BUSINESS! So, going back to the Life / Time analogy, it seems to be made up of moments of monkey business... at least the ones that stand out for us. We can only be, at any one time, the sum of our experience to date. I would posit that being the survival machines that we are, we, at the end of the day, choose to remember the "good" times. That is how we can survive the bad times, and by which we can set our emotional benchmark for living. It becomes the Zen quest for attainment and for living, and yet if we try to achieve it consciously and / or intellectually, it is gone.

So think less, my precious simians, and abandon yourselves to monkey business, that your lives may be rich with the meaning of the moment. I hope you find your own sense in this essay. I know I have. I have enjoyed this moment of monkey business and I plan to make it my life's work. Have a banana... h! h! h! Cheeky Monkey.
