AnGeLa'S AsHeS Angela's Ashes was a wonderful movie that showed the true struggle for people back in the early days when money and technology wasnt as strong as it is today. The family in this story start of the movie by moving back home -town in Native Ireland because they were forced to leave America since the father had lost his job. Conditions start to become worst and the family is kept on welfare and the family living on poverty. Two of their children start to die because of the hunger state in the family.

Since frank Malachy was not able to get a job it was quite difficult to support the wife and kids. Malachy worked very hard to find a job yet never succeeded and fell into depression and drank it off at the bar at night. The didnt live in a healthy enviorment, wastes had been disposed in a bucket and then dumped out onto the streets with hundreds of bacteria's. The wife was to obey all of her husbands demands, like having sex when ever he wanted. Because birth-control was not used for women in those days because of strict religions she had been become pregnant many times yet lost her children each time they were to become sick or ill or dealing with hunger.

Any money that the husband had ever kept in his pocket, every penny was spent at the bar drinking while his children and wife sat home helpless. Malachy finally gets the opportunity to work in england and so he moves and promises the family to return soon along with sending money for his family, yet he never returns and nor does the money being sent. The family was usually left with no money, no food, no coal or any milk for the new born's. Since the father was not much help to the family, frank, at a really young age started working in order to support the family. His dream to go back to America someday gave him a little strength to become successful. He gets a job as a postal messenger to pay for the trip and meets his first love during the route.

Things start to get so bad financially that the family starts to chop down the walls for the fire. The landlords find out and they immediately kick out the family. The family moves in with a cousin. Frank gets fed-up with the cousin because of his voile nt behaviour and looks up to the mother for some sort of support. By this time Angela is a total broken person and is in fact sleeping with the cousin, yet it wasnt to certain weather she was doing it to pay him off or just to be loved.

Frank is so frustrated that he one day gets drunk when he is 15 and hits his mother and calling her bad names. He moves into his uncles house and gets a job as telegram boy. He falls in love and has sex with a rich girl, who soon dies afterwards because of consumption. Frank feels guilty feeling at fault and prays at the church and recipes wise words from the priest which helps him back on his feet..
