Jing-me went to her room went they arrived home. Her mother went to Jing-me's room shouting and yelling at her about her awful performance. talked back and told her mother that is this wasn't for her to be so controlling of her life. When she got home that day, she read the article to Jing-me and would ask her questions to see if she would meet the requirements to be a perfect child. After Jing-me told her to bug out of her life she began to think about what she was doing to her. A lesson I learned by Jerry from "Through the Tunnel" was that if you set your mind on something, it is always possible to accomplish it.
Sometimes a task turns out to be more difficult than it seems. By practicing and trying is the best way to reach your goal. Jing-me learned that she could make her own decisions but she also needs to listen to her mother. Jing-me's mother wants to see her daughter succeed in life, but she has to remember Jing-me has to give her opinion too. Never be intimidated by anyone or anything. Aim high to meet your goals.
Never talk back to your parents because all they want it the best for you. If you don't agree with them, try to help them understand your interests and point of view.
