This movie was off the hook! First of all, these are the type of movies that should be known to mankind. Save the Last Dance, is a blend of love and romance with a little piece of hate crimes, racism, and of course most definitely violence. Well to tell you the truth, most of the people dont like love and romance. Save the Last Dance is a nice blending of a little piece of everything so it can entertain the people with different likes and dislikes. Even the people who dont like these types of movies would be interested in the movie Save the Last Dance.

The name of the movie can leave the viewer in suspense. Just think of it as a phrase, Save the Last Dance. The theme of this movie is plain and simple. Sarah is trying to peruse her dream, which is to try to get accepted into Julliard. She kept on trying and trying until the end. She finally impressed the judges and made him say Welcome to Julliard.

The movie is basically trying to tell you that you should never give up, no matter how hard you try. If at first you dont succeed at what you want to do, try try again. If you give up, then you should look in the mirror and say I am a quitter. The characters of this movie are: Derrick Reynald (Chenniles brother), Chennile Reynald (Derricks sister), Niki (Chenniles friend), Malachi (Derricks homeboy), Roy (Sarah dad), Momma D (Derrick and Chenniles grandmother), Kenny (Chiles boyfriend), S nookie (a wannabe thug), and last but definitely not least Sarah Johnson. These characters make the movie come alive. Acting, whew, when it comes to the acting, they really get this party started, as we might say.

They create suspense, using emotions and other techniques, for the viewer to make them wonder what will happen next. For example, when Sarah said she didnt want to be with Derrick, the viewers kept on thinking, will they go back together again They also talked the way people would talk in New York City. The talk all ghetto as if they were professionals at it. Their way of saying what they have to say makes it more interesting. The movie is about a girl, named Sarah, whose mother died while trying to come to her daughters audition. She died in a car crash because she was so stressed.

She had a lot of things to do and she put every thing aside to go to her daughters audition. While she was driving, she hit a car and lost control of the vehicle. Sarah had to go live with her dad in a bad neighborhood. Her dad, Roy, lived in an old racked up house.

When she went to her new school, she had trouble making friends till she met this girl, Chennile. Chennile helped her out and showed her how the people are around in that neighborhood. She got to know Derrick then they got closer and closer till they liked each other. Derrick taught her how to dance hip-hop.

She went to the auditions the second time and she made it into Julliard. The movie ended at the club. Save the Last Dance took place in New York City. It was snowing in the movie so it must be winter. The movies appearance and choreography matched the setting of New York City.

Usually in New York City you would hear cars, buses, trains, guns, people yelling and cursing, cars tires screeching, etc. You would also see stuff like wrecked up cars, tall buildings, apartments, clubs, basket ball courts, graffiti, etc. Speaking of the settings and sounds, the music also matched the movie. They had a little bit of gangster rap and sop hip-hop and R & B. The music was very easy to identify by the viewers. When the music came on, people jumped out of their seats and started dancing. The lighting of this movie can be a little better.

Viewers were complaining about how dark it is and how difficult it is to see the characters outside.
