My Grades In Math Courses example essay topic

346 words
Ever since I started school when I was little, Math was the one subject that I got good grades in. It was always the only A only report card. Throughout elementary school I never had to study for and it was just an easy A for me. Then in middle school I had to prove myself to other teachers because of a mishap on a test.

In sixth grade you have to take a test to see if you could get into Pre-Algebra in seventh so you could be in Algebra I by eighth grade. However, I did not do so well on the test they gave us, but my grades in math courses were great. My mom wanted me in the upper level math course and she complained but they still didn't put me in it. So in seventh grade I was in the regular math course and for the year I had an average of 104. After that year they still didn't want me to skip pre-algebra, but eventually I did skip it and go right to Algebra I. Then in eighth grade I got an A for the whole year in Algebra. Then from there, that put me in the upper level courses throughout High School.

It was harder in High School but I still managed to average and A-B throughout. The only part of math that I didn't like was geometry. I don't know why, but I would rather work with numbers then what you do in geometry. Then I came to college and I had an undecided major. Then last semester I decided to switch to a math major and apply to get into the secondary education program. The reason I did this was because math was the only thing that ever really clicked forme.

I don't like writing papers, or reading long books that Idon't feel like reading. With math it makes my brain work in a different way then any other subject.
