My Idea Of The American Dream example essay topic
Furthermore, the American dream has grown around the idea that every man is equally entitled to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. To me, the phrase, "American dream", means many things, some of which are feelings that cannot be put into words, and some that are common and easily explained. I believe that the American dream is about having freedom and quality-of-life. Also, I believe that the American dream is to be able to fulfill my dreams in any way that I wish.
The American dream, to me, is being able to spend time with the people who I love. The American dream means to have rights, and to be able to exercise those rights freely. My idea of the American dream is to have a wife and children, and to be able to support them. It is to be able to put a roof over the heads of my family, and to live comfortably. My American dream is to be able to work in the field that I wish, and be successful in what I do. Also, it is to be financially successful and be able to support my mother when she is no longer able to work.
Many people have very different aspirations about what they want their life to be like. It is these differing aspirations that make the phrase, "American dream", such a broad statement. Although, as Americans, we have the right to hold different opinions about what the American dream actually is. This right is only one of the many rights that we have as Americans. And, it is these rights that make it possible for each of us to accomplish our own version of the American dream.
