My Second Class Power Engineering Certificate example essay topic
As we examine these areas, we can find an adequate treatment for the cause of this excruciating pain. Power Engineering, what is it? This position is responsible for the safe and effective operation and maintenance of industrial equipment involving steam, gas, and pressure. It is a very general occupation, which one with a certificate can be employed in a wide variety of jobs. My abilities and interests will narrow down the positions available to me. And in this report I will prove why this occupation is right for me.
My aspiration is to be an Inspector. First specialize in Power Station Operator for 5 to 10 years, and then continue on to be an Inspector. I plan to accomplish this by receiving my Fourth and Third class certificate in Power Engineering at the Grande Prairie Regional College. Then, with my practicum experience I can attain a position with an employer only in the Grande Prairie area, as I believe in giving back to my community what they have given to me, and this is home. During my employment I plan to do more courses online to receive my Second class Power Engineering certificate, and slowly work my way up the ladder to an Inspector within 10 years. In researching Power Engineering, I have found that there is average to well above average projected growth in Alberta, (Human Resources Development Canada).
I have also explored profiles on the Internet, (web and web), and established that I possess most of the personal characteristics need to do well in this area of employment. I have great organizational skills and am a very quick learner. I do very much enjoy operating automated and computerized systems, and analyzing information. I get a big thrill in solving problems.
I work well with others and like to delegate various jobs in order to achieve a better end result. I have some clerical perception from doing Bend It Welding's books. When interviewing people in the work related fields, (Kathleen Bullen with Total Production Services, and Tyler Siebert and Garry Hen ault with En Kana, Sexsmith gas plant), I found out various aspects of the job. The job is quit stable, as far as stability with employment goes. The only downside of the position is the shift work and nights, but they do work 12-hour days and only 14 days of the month, which is a plus.
There are lots of opportunities for advancement. As they encourage you to proceed further to Second class and even First class certification. And you do not need to wait for someone to quit before your advanced up the ladder. I have also found that not all companies like to hire straight out of school when contracting operating positions out, and while touring to gas plant in Sexsmith, I could see why. Last the pay per hour is really good. It starts at $19.04 and goes up to the $30's, depending on your Classification.
It was really interesting touring the plant and have learned a lot from doing this investigation report, more than just looking at a few sights on the Internet. I realize from my transcripts that I am short the Physics 20 or Science 20, but I hope that my experience and other grades will compensate. Thank you for your time. Sincerely,.
