Although Michael Jordan and Larry Bird are two of the greatest players ever, they both have some differences and similarities. Here are some of their similarities. Jordan and Bird where dominant players at an young age. Michael Jordan won the slam dunk contest, and Larry Bird won the three point contest in there history. Both players have several championship rings. Michael Jordan and Larry Bird are the two best players to ever play in the NBA.

Well, however; I can not say that both are the best to ever play the game because the NBA has never come to a close. Only if the league came to an end right now, then maybe I can say that, "they are the best two players to ever play in the NBA". Other NBA lovers may have a different thought than I have. I probably can start World War Three with that statement. They both were key players on the teams that they played on.

Jordan and Bird both made it to the All-Star team several of times. They both had a fun raiser for the Ronald McDonald House. They love to help the children, and give back to their community. They both are not playing the game for money it is because they love the game.

Even though money is not everything to them, they both seem to have lots of it. They also appeared on a McDonald commercial together. Jordan has a large shoe contract. Bird has a large NBA contract. Over the years they both ended up with similar shoe and NBA contracts.

They attended division one colleges. Both played college basketball. Both won a NCAA championship title. Both players appeared on the movie Space Jams together. They both play golf together.

They both retire, and came back to the league. Michael Jordan came back as a co-manager of the Washington Wizards. Larry Bird came back as the coach of the Indiana Pacers. Both players just had a successful life.

There similarities are not what make them the two greatest players ever, it is there accomplishments that makes them the greatest two players ever to play in the NBA. Although they lots of similarities, they both have several differences. Larry Bird won nine NBA titles. Micha 0 el Jordan only won six NBA titles. Both were great accomplishments, but in NBA years, nine NBA titles is a whole lot more than six titles.

But still today they say that, "Michael Jordan is the greatest player to ever play the game". Jordan average 32.1 points a game in his career. Bird average 30.4 points game a game in his career. Jordan has his on shoe line, Air Jordan's. Bird never had a signature pair of sneakers. Larry Bird's throw back jersey in stores cost seven hundred ninety nine dollars.

Michael Jordan's throw back jersey in stores cost six hundred ninety nine dollars. Michael Jordan played for the Chicago Bull, and Larry Bird played for the Boston Celtics. Jordan also came out retirement to play for the Washington Wizards. Bird came out of retirement to coach the Indiana Pacers. Both teams seem not to be able to win another NBA titles without the two greatest players to ever play in the NBA. Although they are the greatest players ever, they both have there differences and similarities.

They both do not have to be exactly a like to be the greatest players to ever play they game. All I can say is that, "they are all time greats.".
